It can be dangerous to the baby. Nothing other than breastfeed or formula. That's it.

Post c section, if mother was given general anesthesia to sedate her instead of just local anesthesia, she will not secrete milk until she is conscious and baby is kept in incubation until that happens. After baby is pulled out, it is just placed on top of the sedated mother for few mins for the contact and then cord is cut.

Also a c-section baby is more vulnerable as it doesn't get the shock of normal delivery to push air into its lungs and it often needs more care than just a pat on its back to make it cry, henc incubation is also necessary to get it accustomed before it can feed.

We saw Kinjal gain consciousness and baby handed to her, which means Gadthuthi was the 1st thing fed to the baby.

I thought incubation sirf premature and early term baby ke liye hota hai . Baby jaundice ke liye bili lights hoti hai. Mine was c-section and mere c-section mai it was local anaesthetic so I was completely awake throughout the procedure.I saw everything. They gave me pain killer in IV post surgery and also gave me belly belt so I can comfortably breastfeed. There was no issue of breast milk immediately. Spinal anaesthesia sirf lower body ko numb karta hai.

You are right . Seems like kinjal ko full body anaesthesia diya hoga. Spinal anaesthesia nahi. Sirf anupama ki importance dikhane ke liye khade khade gadthuthi part dikha diya ho aisa lagta hai waise bhi writer ko kisi bhi sensitive issue ko handle karna nahi aata hai.

For information, it is a fact that numerous children have died because their parents fed honey during some or the other rituals. Just because no one in your knowing died, it doesn't invalidate the science. There can be numerous reasons, maybe they were never fed the honey, just doing the gesture for the sake of rituals. Losing ones child is one of the most painful thing that can happen to anyone. Imagine being responsible for own child's death. Even if the odds of any serious complication is 0.001% it is not worth the risk. Government is not an idiot to spend so much for promoting best practices. After seeing the episode I think the purpose of showing the ritual was that since Anupamaa has fed her the first food , baby will have her nature , this was also Kinjal’s wish ... In other words , Choti Anu No 2 🙄

On a lighter note , 1 Anupamaa toh jhel nahi pas rahe , how will we tolerate 3 Anupamaas 🤣

Yes I know many mothers are wide awake during their C-section so they can feed their newborns as soon as their milk starts secreting. And Incubation is also when baby has not coped up properly post delivery, even if mother is awake. Plus Shahs mentioned so many times that this labour was unexpected, which definitely means it was early so it could have been premature reason too.

Kinjal was definitely sedated with general anesthesia so doctors should have waited for her to wake so that she can try nursing.

Note that doctors prescribe any kind of formula only when mother's milk is not an option and even for nursing mothers they recommend direct feeding instead of pumped milk unless absolutely necessary.

They did this crap in YRKKH too when Akshu was born. So it's not just an Anupama thing, it's an RS thing. Both shows need to be held accountable for CONSTANTLY showing regressive crap and glamorizing toxic families. Such bs.
