It might be different in your place Shriz, but if it's a common thing to do this for husband, then it's certainly a gender issue. I'm sure it's very rare that a man will keep their wife's clothes and a towel ready.

Cause women don't inherently have a good dressing sense or anything, that's all conditioning.

In North Western side India ese thing are common that women doing all house hold work and husband giving order and doing nothing

India mein don't they have an ironing guy - growing up we had istri wala who came every day to pickup and dropoff - I have never ironed in India! Aab yaha karna padta hai - solution no iron clothes hahaha and occasionally iron as needed :)

Oh the plate thing is super common. I've seen it so much.

Istri too, I've seen extended family do it, istriwala is expensive for regular use!

Yeah, a lot of us a super sheltered, and come from waay more progressive families than what exist!

It is how people have been brought up. My mom didn't have to do because my dad never allowed. My mom doesn't allow my dad to enter kitchen because he makes a mess. But he will cut all the vegetables, wash fish/meat. Clean fans, put clothes to washing machine and all.

May be that's why my thinking has been shaped like this way. My relatives are relatively from Stonehenge. Even my cousins think like that. So I believe the way you are brought up plays a very important role. Even though my parents had their own share of biases, but I was given the freedom to think which my cousins didn't get.

In that way I do get Anupama's nature. But what I do not understand is why the makers are not showing that she can break free from that nature. In one episode they will give hope and in the next episode she will hold Baa's pallu 😒

Dude my cousins use to make distance from me because of my different views now they have accepted 😆

Girls.. like it or not.. its been a patriarchal norm in India. Wife doing chores of husband. . You are truly blessed if you have never heard or seen this kind of marriages...

Because show mein toh hardly 25% dikhaya hain with what goes on in real life. I am sure now things are changing slowly.. its just a start.. yes they exaggerate with drama.. but aise real life mein hota hain..
