I am sorry to comment like this but which region are we talking about? Let us not generalize anything here coz there are ladies from all regions of India on this forum and by generalizing it to a specific region of India, we may hurt their sentiments.

by the way, my brother ironed my school uniform everyday coz I hate to iron my clothes.😉

Is this really a common thing... Picking your husband's clothes out for him? And giving him a towel.. everyday ?

Somehow I've never seen it even in very traditional families..... Is it a regional thing?

I was about to say that, in 2022 who does this? I mean, even in my extended friends/family circle let alone the ones living aboard - unheard of - even those traditional/arrange marriage-type families - I have never seen this in my life Please enlighten me - not trying to be rude, I genuinely don't know.

it must be part of society to the extent that there is a need for a social message about it!

Although I loved how Anuj said, I've married, not enrolled in a daycare center - that was hilarious!!

guys i have seen my mom doing it everyday for my dad. She still takes out his clothes everyday. I am married now for 23 years . I also started doing for my husband because I saw my mom doing it but my husband asked me not to do these things and he doesn’t like that😊

thanks for sharing this surbhi. ^ this is the reality of many women in the DIASPORA (not one region or another). of course it’s embarrassing to say that this happens where you come from, but you can’t facilitate change without acknowledging that there is a problem. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Mini I am from south too...it very much happens...it has nothing to do with region, it's the mindset and conditioning...

Even my chinese friend mentioned to me once how his dad doesn't even take water on his own. He calls his mom or his son to give him water to drink. I was surprised to hear even chinese have such culture.

acts of service can be found everywhere. i dont see any issue with anupamaa doing these things for her man. they are in the stage right now where precedents will be set. maybe she’s good at laundry and he’s good at mowing the lawn - as long as no one is forced to do something or made to feel like if they dont do it they are failing as a spouse, i dont see what the issue is.
