Hmm.. I don't know, but I believe whatever you see, observe, learn in life, one should be smart enough to break it down into parts and try to learn what's important to know and discard the rest. One should know what part of the content to consume and implement in real life and what part not to.

Ultimately it's a fictional show, with the main purpose being of entertainment with small social messages in between.

But,I understand where you are coming from.

But somewhere I believe, the audience is also responsible because of which Its become like a vicious circle.

Most the serials that top the TRP charts if you see,are pretty regressive, with lot of family drama involved and women being shown as ablanari and bechari. Trust me Anupama is still far better.

There used to be serials like Khubsurti pinjra ka,which was so regressive, there the girl still was in love with guy,who gave her a scar on her face.

Then there is a serial called Udaariyan, there the girl was still in love with the guy who cheated on her with her sister.

Then their are serials like Naagin, with different seasons but same storylines in new settings.

Then their are serials like Kundali Bhagya and all, where the female leads are conveniently thrown out of house, and in the name of romance and angst, the male leads keep manhandling the females.

So many popular shows like ishaqbaaz, iss pyaar ko kya naam do have had high drama quotients and romance.

All these serials have once or the other time topped the trp charts.

Then there was a serial that used to come in star plus, Dahleez, that was a beautiful serial and very finite, but could never top the charts.

Then there was one of my favorite serials Jana na dil se door,it was a purely love story with family drama, but it was pretty progressive in many ways, but just had a cult following.

Or there is a serial Maddam sir in Sabtv, which is actually progressive in many way, has a good online audience but not good on trp charts.

I think only Star plus and Sony still show a mix of shows, colors and zee toh are as regressive as it can get.

Most of the serials start with different storylines but end up taking the same route, because ultimately that's what the major chunk of audience wish to see.

Maybe their guilty pleasures🤪

And ultimately when a show tries to deliver what they had promised, the channels pull the plug because of low trp, which forces the makers to go through the tried and tested formulas.

And ultimately audience are served the same regressive crap, and the circle keeps going on.

Maybe you have been lucky enough to find such men around you.

But there are still many who don't understand this, even working women in many households have to face doing all the work alone, that's why all women are given so much of praise that they can handle household work also and office work also,a nice way to put pressure on women to manage all.

Till date I haven't seen in any household,if a guest comes home, then a man goes and brings in snacks or water for them,it's always the woman,be it working or homemaker.

Also, most of the good men might just help, they never really take charge for any of the household activities, or many women don't let them as well🤔

Right, so here anupama gives lectures about what women have to go through... And in the same breath, she doesn't let Anuj do a thing in the kitchen.. it's frustrating to say the least.

It's very rare to see men taking equal responsibility of the household, but this is fiction... They're calling themselves progressive and path breaking, so they atleast ought to show a fully progressive idea. Men will get away with not being equal partners unless women demand it. And if the message you're sending to young women is that you should be grateful that your partner "helps" in the kitchen. Then that's halting progress.

I'm personally insulted by her saying har aurat ko rasoi se alag rishta.. it's like establishing this expectation that I need to be the food provider in the house.

Not justifying but well.. she does let Anuj work.. matkab majority of the times dono hi karte hain..

Also rasoi se rishta is meant for housewives her age.. the TRP audience not this gen..

Hmmm, i don't think so kitty, even today she took his plate from the table after he was done. In the past, she's happy to have him make chai, that's all. Dono karte hai because he does it, not because she doesn't try and stop him. She always tries to stop him.

We have seen Anuj helping Anu in the kitchen many times.

He has also been shown to be a good cook and knows all the household chores.

The point here I believe is not about who cooks and who doesn't. It's more about being given the choice, not being forced to do something. Even my mom loves to cook for people, because cooking is unwinding for her, and neither does she let anyone enter in their because she likes it to be her way but that doesn't mean that she is regressive or not progressive in nature or she believes that women should be dying in kitchen only, neither has she ever forced me to cook because I hate cooking, but has taught me the same as a lifeskill.I am sure if Anu says tomorrow I don't want to cook, anuj will not really bother about it.

Doing your own house's household chores is not binding or regressive,it's regressive when you are forced to do it alone, with no help when you want to relax or take a break.

It's all a matter of choice, that's my point of view, but then yes,I do understand ans agree with what you are saying.

Anyone saw the new montage? It gives me bad vibes ... I am taking a break.. can't bear too much drama and putting down of Anupama.... It will ruin everything for me... Specially it would ruin the dream man AK...

Plus it seems like they are doing away with the Shah family... I would have been happy with V, K Baa and Bapuji out... but I can't bear if they do away with the kids...

Going to concentrate on my fiction... and that's it..
