Unfortunately, things like these which are so basic are not found in everyone🤪
Maybe you have been lucky enough to find such men around you.
But there are still many who don't understand this, even working women in many households have to face doing all the work alone, that's why all women are given so much of praise that they can handle household work also and office work also,a nice way to put pressure on women to manage all.
Till date I haven't seen in any household,if a guest comes home, then a man goes and brings in snacks or water for them,it's always the woman,be it working or homemaker.
Also, most of the good men might just help, they never really take charge for any of the household activities, or many women don't let them as well🤔
True ....After writing the post I kinda realised that myself ...It brings me back to my initial observation that the show is adressing a very varied audience in terms of social and economic backgrounds , the upbringing , exposure etc , thats why the messages fail to connect sometimes and land up in category of pseudo empowerment ..
But instead of simply showing Anuj as this too-good-to-be-true man , wouldnt it be making more sense if they also show the main protagonist Anupamaa learning and actually making progress ....If she's still shown serving chai and theplas to her abusers , saying "maine sab ghar ka kaam kar liya Baa" before rushing off to work , what's the use ? Who is learning from Anuj's example , Toshu to abhi bhi agar Kinjal ko doodh de de , everyone has tears in their eyes
No wonder , even though the character has been masacred badly , people are still liking Anuj's character more than Anupamaa's (some poll on twitter)...simply because Anupamaa is 2 steps forward and 10 steps backward ...
