First of all thanks for sharing all those names, will look out for those if available..🤗

I am 35, but in my family television was not watched beyond news till all us siblings completed graduation, so not seen all these DD shows, it’s really good to know there were better shows. Most of my ITV experience is post Ekta and group took over. Thanks again 😊

Post ekta also itv was fine till everything was new. That time even saas bahu seemed entertaining😆 but when they started repeating it became boring as hell and slowly it crossed all the boundaries of being logical🤣

And of all thise names, only shanti used to air on DD. All the others were zee, starplus, sony shows. Its difficult to believe that these channels once telecasted these gems but they did😆

And to have an idea about how itv turned into hell I am sharing an video here. Its damn funny and so so true.

Very well presented and nice to read👏

You know what Women empowerment in a daily soap is limited to the female lead of the show. Other women won't be shown as empowered women.

There are there categories:

  1. Over Sacrificing Female Lead: who will sacrifice her jewellery, dresses, kidney, husband and self-respect without any bias. It's not like they don't do anything wrong. Their wrongs are hidden under the garb of mahanata. For ex. When they murder someone, it is shown with full background bhajan and mantra and mandir ki ghantiyan and she doesn't murder with ordinary weapons like ordinary criminals, she uses mata rani ka trishul and all. (To give an example of forced mahanata, In a particular show, a woman saves her owner's daughter from drowning but leaves her daughter to die and even forgets that she is drowning, years later, when the girl is grown up, she tells her that she could become a good swimmer because she left her to die) 🤣
  2. Extremely Wrong Vamp: who will hate on the female lead without any rhyme or reason. Or there may be a reason and the reason will always be a man(even a naagin can't resist the charm of the male lead whom she finds stinky) 🤪
  3. So called strong Female lead: such a female lead appears to be strong on the surface. Her strength goes tel lene when she needs to be strong but pretends to be strong when it is convenient for her. Her strength is shown in insulting and using the people who help her and goodness is shown in taking care of those who actually abuse her (For ex. A 'strong' female lead keeps insulting the man who takes care of her and is with her through thick and thin And who also takes care of her boyfriend, as long as the man is alive. Her goodness is shown when she takes care of her father who beat her mother, forcefully married his daughter to someone else and almost killed her boyfriend). This is how a good and strong woman is portrayed in ITV: insulting those whom she finds convenient and caring for those who are abusive😆

Yes, i agree rajan shahi( producer of anupama)shah family ko bahut glorify karta, hai kyonki shah rajan shahi ke favour character i hai, rajan shahi sliye baar baar, aisa dikhane ki koshish kartehai ki jo vanraj baar ne, kiya, woh, koi bahut badi baat nahi but agar woh kavya ne kar diya to woh vamp. Ho gayi because rajan shahi hate kavya

Yes not for adultery but for violence and mental abuse he has been throwing at Anupama, they could have shown Anupama using her rights to take her share of property or even her right to have cordial relations with rest of the family, instead of bapuji being mahan giving her half of the house. But that’s a lost opportunity now.

they again had opportunity when Anupama moved out she should have kept distance from Shah family issues but they again are making it all Anupama’s responsibility, so divorce doesn’t have any use except opening legal way for Vanraj to marry Kavya. Yeah may be like you said production has some affection for Shah’s

Yes... Anupama had every right to demand alimony...and so does Kavya. But they want to showcase that if a woman asks for alimony she's a villain...so she should be the 'bigger person' and simply sign the divorce papers are accept her misery.

If V had the audacity to cheat in a marriage, he should have paid the legal price too!

He should have paid Anupama's expenses/maintenance etc.

By default the kids stayed with Vanraj...why??? Anupama had every right to demand custody of kids....she didn't.

Aren't these critical points in a normal divorce procedure? Expectation is women should sacrifice...forgive the cheating partner, sign divorce so that he can move on and also not demand alimony cos it'll then show that u are a gold digger...that's sad reality

Yes demand karni chahiye thi property ki but cvs ne anupama ko waisa nahin dikhaya hai in order to demand property from vanraj, anupama ko khud se bahut ladna, padega bahut jyaada apne aap ko mental prepare karna hoga ki yes, mjhe baa vanraj ko punsih karna hai .anupama ko andar se maana hoga ki baa vanraj ne uske saath bahut bura kiya tabhi anupama punish kar paayegi nahin to anupama ka jaisa soft nature dikhaya mujhe nahin lagta aur baa ko ifeal maanti hai mujhe nahin lagta ki anupama kabhi baa vanraj kabhi punish kar paayegi

In order to punish some one one has to hard from inside aur anupama andar se hard nahin hain isliye woh punish nahin kar paari hai. To punish karne ke anupama ko sabse pehle apne nature se ladna hoga. Tabhi anupama punish kar paayegi but i think. Anupama kabhi apne nature ke against nahin jaayegi

It is not about nature It's just for showing mahanta of female leads of itv. What's the wrong in demanding alimony. You don't have to a hard person by nature. It was your right of living.

In real no anuj came in your life and offered partnership to a 50 years old woman.

They have to on there own so it is there right.

How they are going to survive at that age without any financial help.

If they want to stand on there foot that will take time.

but here they show that anupama is so talented that it took only few days to stand on her foot.

This is not happened in real.

And in reality no woman will be ready to live with Ex-husband and his new wife.
