I remember this, every word spoken by Barkha was the harsh truth. She was literally defending Upma and calling out the hypocrisy of Shameless Shahs and instead of appreciating her Mahaan MAA shut her up and insulted her for daring to speak against her Bhagwans!

I'm in disbelief that a working woman is being criticised this way.... Lest we forget, Anupamaa is the lifetime unpaid maid of Vanraj shah. Defending King Vanraj and advocating for his morals (however loose they may be) is literally part of her duties towards her royal masters. Let's say it's part of her job profile.

In short she’s basically his full time ‘lawyer’.
You know this gives me an idea. I hope there’s a future track where king Vanraj (and his phemli) get arrested after it’s discovered that he committed fraud and scandals into becoming rich and DeviMaa becomes his lawyer and advocates for him in court and then wins of course. Wouldn’t that be the ideal scenario
