The hospital must be teeming with sardar doctors. Otherwise, "Dr Sameer's" appearance would have raised at least one eyebrow among the policemen on guard outside.

Hmm, Goof. Interesting theory. Actually a few days back, I recall JC went into the doctors' room quietly after they had already briefed him and Priya in the hallway, so your theory about ACD pretending to be still ill may be spot on;-)

Yesterday's update will be done as soon as isaitamil has uploaded the video. Hopefully in good time; it's 01.30 GMT now

Thanks Bon.

Sameer walks in, walks out, other doctors walk in walk out and so on. But the PC outside the ICU is simply staring ahead, not even looking at the people entering- verum silai madiri 😕

Alex Pandian is tamil actor Anand, who acted in Thiruda thiruda with Prashant. I remember reading somewhere that Anand was responsible for a hit and run case & a PC was killed.

OMG, Giri. Hit and run case in which a PC was killed? And he now acts as a PC himself? Thanks for the info.

Giri, how could you even think that PCs who do guard duty are even supposed to think?

Sadly, after making this joke, I must now painfully report another major security lapse in super-efficient Singapore. Earlier this year, as some of you may have heard, a limping terrorist escaped from a detention centre through a window in the toilet that had not been barricaded and jumping over a security fence where CCTVs were not functioning. A number of the officers in the detention centre have since been sacked or demoted.

Well, guess what happened just last week. Two robbery suspects awaiting trial in a cell in the Subordinate Courts attempted to escape. They were apprehended later by super-sprinter policemen. But how they managed to escape from the cell and hit the streets is a shining testament to human error in the police force. One PC had contravened regulations by opening the cell door to hand over water to the two robbery suspects..It was then that the men hit the PC and bolted.

But here's the parallel with Friday's Anandham. The two men ran towards the security gate and pressed the buzzer to exit it. The guard outside simply opened the gate for them without first checking on the CCTV to see who was on the other side of the gate!

Naturally, heads will roll in the police force but it's an indelible blot in their copybook. I submit this piece of info with deep embarrassment. But, all said and done, these are isolated incidents. I am sure the same is true of the Indian police force; CR is just magnifying the ineptitude.

Bon,
Very well said. I asked an elderly gentleman who visited from India about Priya in the same room as ACD. He said that is virtually non-existent. First of all, he said it will interfere with the treatment of other patients. Second of all these patients are infectious or will be infected by the outside person. If someone said they were coming from very far and were staying for a day or something, the hospital authorities may consider.

Jagu, in most hospitals here, they do allow 1 family member to stay overnight with a patient in 1st class (i.e., one who does not have to share a room with other patients). In fact, I just saw a made-for-TV American movie yesterday on Hallmark, in which a patient slept on a couch when her father was hospitalised. Unless the patient is suffering from an infectious disease, I think most hospitals do allow such stays. In luxury hospitals that function almost like hotels, I am certain 1 family member can stay with the patient and have a proper bed, as opposed to a couch, for a fee.

ICU, however, is another matter. I doubt most hospitals would allow family members to stay with the patient as the patients need complete rest and, anyway, nurses are supposed to be monitoring the patient 24-hours.

SS ("AC Durai") on Kalakkal Cricket tonight

Folks in India, please don't forget to tune in and watch SS tonight (Sunday) on Sun TV at 9.30 pm IST. It's a comedy cricket show starting several chinna thirai stars. Please see picture from the show hyperlinked below. I don't know who the female star who's posing next to him is -- Bhavana or something.

Thanks updaters for keeping us informed of the latest happenings.... 👏

I think its time they showed us ACD/Priya getting married or is CR keeping it as a climax when he finally draws the curtain for ANANDAM?? 😡

Someone mentioned that Shakshi Siva is in mourning due to his dad's death - perhaps thats why they do not want to burden him with scripts to memorise for his roles but just lie in the ICU for some minor shots so that the story keeps going while he is away to fulfill his personal duties. 😊
