Wasted episode with a lot of 'unbelievable' scenes with police.

We left Abhirami and Shhyam looking horrified when the police caem to do 'visaranai'. Well, this episode started off with the police man, the policewoman and two constables acting arrogantly. Constables search the house for RK. The inspector and the lady inspector question Abhirami and Shyam. This was downright silly with them asking 'Tell me what you did with RK' and such nonsense. They threaten Abhirami and Shyam and take away the driver for more interrogation.

Abhirami asks Shyam to go down to Srinivasan's house for help, but Shyam finds the same scene enacting in their place. THe same police are asking Srinivasan the same questions. Srinivasan's family look a bit shaken and Srinivasan himself looks a bit ruffled. However, he doesn't say that he saw RK on TV int he ashram. Wonder what he plot he is hatching in his mind. Shyam sees all this and reports back to Abhirami that Srinivasan's house also same 'gati' so no help.

Abhirami is really frightened and is wringing her hands and making tense faces (she is not a really very good actor, i thought, as she does the same expressions time and again).

At the police station, the Inspector beats up driver for confession. They dont show us the statement the driver makes, but they show us that he signs some statement.

Abhirami gets a call at night asking her to give 25 lakhs if she wanted information on RK's whereabouts. She is flustered and has no recourse but to ask KV Karan for the money as she didnt' have that much cash ready. So KVkaran brings the money in a suitcase. This scene was very good, she is standing by the car in a very beautiful maroon saree. KV Karan's car comes and we can only see hte headlights as it is very dark and deserted.

Well, he hands over thhe money and asks her to sign some forms. She reads the first three copies but signs the remainign two wtihtout reading.

KV Karan then climbs back into his car muttering ot himself with glee 'mamo, now you in my pidi'.

Well, it was neither Shanti nor Kanduvetti, it was Srinivasan!!!

Episode starts with a very nice shot of Abhirami standing in the dark and deserted road. Shots of the palm trees gently moving in the breeze and night sounds. Then there is a sudden flash of light right on her face. She is afraid. It turns out to be unidentifiable guy on a motorcycle wearing helmet. He demands the money and tells her that RK is in a big ashram in bangalore and disappears. He goes straight to Srinivasan's hosue and hands over the money.

Here we have a couple of minutes of REALLY BAD acting, where Srinivasan reveals that he was the one who arranged for the 'fake' police inquiry at Abhirami's house and the call for money etc etc.

Next morning Abhirami calls Srinivasan to come to her office and tells him about the information on RK and asks him to find RK immediately. He says he will and Deepa who was about to enter Abhirami's office with a file, overhears that RK is in a Asharm in bangalore. She rushes to a vacant meeting room and calls Shanti.

Shanti is in lovely Bangalore, in the lovely cubbon park area. She answers the call and Deepa tells her what she overheard. Shanti is overjoyed. She asks her driver to take her to the ashram.

At the Ashram, Shanti speaks to various people and finally is asked to consult a guy called Lakshman. Lakshman says that RK was there in teh ashram but didnt want any contact with his family. She pleads with him to tell RK that she was here to see him.

Lakshman goes to the tree under which RK is meditating and tells him that his 'marumagal' was here to see him.

RK looks shocked and sad. End of episode with frame on RK with a 'i am caught, what do i do now' expression.

Very very good acting by Shanti and RK and Lakshmanan.The entire episode is shot under the tree except for a few small flashback scenes.

RK continues to look shocked and finally blurts out why abhirami must come here. Lakshmanan says no, its not abhirmai but shanti. RK continues to look confused, but lakshman takes the decision in his hands and says to him to at least speak with Shanti.

He goes and gets Shanti. She comes and is very happy to see RK. She folds her hands, closes her eyes and prays to the statue of the god under the tree. Then she rushes forward and falls at RK's feet crying 'mama'.

She gives a lot of dialogue of how the entire clan was waiting for RK and that he was their sottu and they didnt' care about money and property and were lost without him blah blah blah. She also says that he doesn't have to accept her and her daughter, but if he returns she woudl say with pride that her mamanar was a courageous person. She says that though this place is very peaceful, his mind was a turmoil and that he should return to face the devils rather than escape them by hiding in the ashram. She says that she woudl not leave without him. (Very nice dialogues and good acting by Sukanya)

RK doesn't utter a word in the entire scene. But he gets a couple of flash back scenes. The scene in which he asks Madan and SHanti to leave the house while naming Abhirami as his daughter. And the last encounter with Abhirami when she was talkign to her fathers photo. He listens to Shanti's pleadings and walks out looking very disturbed.

Lakshman tells Shanti to remain strong. He says he is amazed how RK's two 'marumagals' are so different. Jambo's daughter Abhirami was a terror while she Shanti was an angel. Shanti is amazed that he knows about Jambo and asks him how he knew.

Lakshman narration on the past with some flashback scenes.

Lakshman narrative - he was a partner with Rk and Jambu but later he moved to Bangalore and became a successful businessman. He was on a trip to madras and came down to relax on the beach when he saw RK marching into the waters. He ran and intercepted RK and convinced him not to end his life. RK says that he was disgusted by the way he was cheated by Abhirami and he didn't think he had the guts to face his family now. He kept saying that he was not upste that he fell into the 'well of decption' but was upset that he dragged his entire family into this mess. Lakshman somehow convinces RK that he woudl house him in a place where he doesnt' have to meet any family members or friends and he coudl try to cool down and think carefully of what he wanted to do. RK is convinced and they both walk back to the car.

Back to present - shanti says that she is very happy that mama was well and she says to Lakshman that she is very certain in her resolve that she will return to madras only with RK.

20 Oct 2005 Episode

Well, we left Shanti and RK pacing the floor in front of the god's statues contemplating the future.

Shanti then calls Raji and tells her 'Atthai, i saw mama'. Raji amma acts very well - exremely emotional. While she is talking, RK appears and takes the phone from her and says 'Raji, nee yeppadi ma irukai'. Raji is overwhelmed and is unable to say anything. RK then says, i will come home and speak with you.

Lakshman who witnessed the entire scene says to them that he has arranged for security as now that Abhirami knows where RK is, she might try something.

True to his word, they now show a car standing near the ashram gates and a rowdy paiyan is on the phone. We see that it is Srini on the other side of hte phone in madras. The rowdy tells Srini that there 'bayangara' security in the ashram and they shoudln't try anything until RK comes out. Srinivasan agrees. Later he calls again and syas that there is an amma with RK and so they can't try anything in Bangalore. Srinivasan calls them off the casee and says he will deal with them in Chennai. He then thinks.. who can this amma be.. and then says 'shanti'.... angrily.

Plane flying amongst the clouds.

Rajis house, everyone is there pacing to and fro. Raji asks where is rohini. Madan sasys she was scared. Raji says 'nalla ponnu...' in a frustrated tone.

Car sound, door opens and RK steps out. Everyone rushes out. Raji is very emotional and falls at his feet asking him why he punished her so. He says, he didnt' punish them, but punished himself.

He then hugs Madan and says sorry da kanna. Madan cries. karthik hugs him and cries. RK carries Swati's kid and kisses him. Arjun asks Raji to take RK inside the house. Shanti leaves. Arjun pats karthik as he looks forlorn.

They all go in and RK says, see i have now coem to your house. Raji says no this is yoru house. This is the first house we statyed together in. He then looks around and says where is Shanti.. Everyone looks down at their feet. Raji has tears.

We left RK asking the family where Shanti was. Well, they tell her and he is a bit disappointed. But I could see a resolve in his expression.

Abhirami is hopping mad at Srinivasan. She gives him left and right in her office. Srinivasan assures her - 1) RK will not come to the court
2) If he does come to the court, he will not speak at the court
3) if he did speak, he will not walk out alive

Abhirami doesn't seem impressed by this, but she has no other go.

Srinivasan gathers his rowdies and gives them instructions. We don't exactly hear what he is saying, but there is a lot of gesticulation and angry expressions.

RK is sitting in the porch drinking milk. He asks Raji if the milk was special as it tasted very good. Suddenly a police car arrives and the inspector asks him if Abhirami had kidnapped him and hidden him. RK looks silently for a whil eand then says - he was very depressed after return from US and then he was at an ashram in bangalore. Inspector asks again and again if Abhirami threatened or hurt him. RK doesnt' say anything. He says finally that he would reveal everything in the court tomorrow. After inspector leaves, he asks Rjai if she wanted to know what happened. SHe says 'yes'. HE says very cutely, i will tell you in the court tomorrow.

The next morning, sun rises bright and cheerful. Abhirami wearing a very beautiful red saree starts off for court.

At Raji's house, Arjun asks Raji and Karthik to go ahead. ARjun has his rowdies with him and they all escort RK to the court.

At the court, Abhirami arrives first. We see Srinivasan's adiatkal all around the place and we are in great suspense as to what will happen.

Raji, Karthik, Shanti and Madan come next. Karthik says loudy such that Abhirami hears that they will come out victorious while Abhirami will come with the police escorting her to jail. Abhirami, surprisingly, goes off inside without a word. Prakash lawyer takes Raji and her family into the court.

They sit in two different sections of the court and there is a lot of 'looking thru the corner of the eyes' at each other.

RK is shown in Arjun's car driving thru Madras roads. There are huge trucks going by. We are at the edge of our seat wondering if there will be an accident. Good suspense.

By now Raji and afmily are very anxious as RK ahs not arrived. The clerk chappie calls out "Radhakrishnan' a few times. No sight of RK. We are now really curious.

Finally, Arjun's car comes into the court. RK comes out flanked by Arjun's rowdies. Immediatly, Srinivasan's adiatkal call SRnivasan and say that they can't do anything as the security was tight. And RK walks in proud and smart.

He has to pass Abhirami on the way to the witness stand. He hesitates when he reaches her. She for her part looks very demurely at her feet with her head down - looks like an ideal marumagal.

RK reaches the witness stand.

Very good episode today. Felt very positive and happy after watching it.

RK is on the witness stand. The Judge says 'RK, your children have put a case on Abhirami that she kidnapped you and that you transferred all your assets to her under duress when you were not in a sound state of mind'. Judge repeats the question numerous times but RK just stands there as if trying to decide what to say. Judge finally says that RK will be held in contempt if he remained silent any longer.

RK finally says, "i toiled hard for years to amass all that fortune. I decided to divide my sottu and wrote all the sottu in Abhirami's name in a very sound state of mind'

Abhirami looks stunned but happy. Shyam wipes sweat of fear from his forehead. Shanti looks stunned. Madan and Karthik look angry. Raji looks confused. RK stands immobile till Judge leaves and then walks out of the court to his car.

On the way out Abhirami looks at Shanti. Shanti looks furious. Abhirami is a bit taken aback and climbs into her car without a word.

Raji and Karthik are standing at the porch of their house. RK arrives and strides straight in. Raji and Karthik follow. Arjun follows. Raji's brother arrives. Then Madan and narayana arrive and walk in. All of them stand there wordlessly and RK looks at each one of them.

Karthik comes up to RK and says 'why dad, why did you do this. we all were in the hope that when you return you will set things straight and we can return to our lives. we were so miserable in your absence. why did you do this to us'. Now each one of the rest - Madan, Arjun, Arjun's dad, all say the same thing to RK.

RK turns to Raji who is standing nearby demurely adn says 'you also say something'. Raji says (wonderful scene this one) - 'you will never do anything without a reason. i am sure you have a very good reason for saying what you said in the court. i am not able to figure out what this is, but if you explain to me, i will try to understand and if i have any questions, i will ask you then'.

RK looks very pleased and says 'this is exactly what i expected you to say. You know me better than i know myself. I am so lucky to have a wife like you'.

Then RK says, "i am not the same RK anymore. I dont' get angry. I have found inner strength and inner peace. I couldnt' bring myself to tell a lie in teh witness stand. Abhirami did cheat me, but i let her cheat me. i have to suffer for my sins."

RK looks pleadingly at everyone annd says "money is not a big thing. If the old RK could get so much money, the new calm, quiet and strong RK can amass 10 times more. Lets not think about Abhirami. Let us ignore her completely. That would be a biggest defeat for her. Lets focus on our lives and become more successful that we ever were in teh past. I have my talent, and i have all of you to help me. We can do much much more. "

Raji looks very proud of her husband.

He then turns to Raji and says very very sweetly "raji, i am hungry". Raji says "come, i will serve you food". Then he puts his arm on Rjai's shoulder and the two of them walk out. Beautiful scene.

Arjun, Madan, Karthik and Arjun's dad stare at each other a bit confused.

At Abhirami's place, she is looking very very happy . She tells Shyam that she has a new respect for RK now. She says that the only reason RK would have said that was that he was afraid of her.

At Srinivasan's place he is pacing the floor furiously with the AC watching over. He says to AC, he has no idea why RK said that. He was expecting Abhirami to come to the streets but it seemed af if all the enemies were voluntarily surrendering to abhirami.

AC reminds him that they have the Kandavetti trump card. but srinivasan says that she has the Mohan driver trump card.

Episode ends with focus on Srinivasan's face as he says he has resovled to find out why RK said that.

Wasted episode in general. Focused more on Shanti's acting skills rather than anything else. But well, she is indeed a very good actress.

Starts off with RK visiting Lawyer Prakash adn there is a very lovey dovey scene with Prakash saying RK is great and RK saying Prakash is great. The conversation ends with Prakash assuring RK that he will do much better with this new mental state of his and that Abhirami will be caught up in her own web of deceit and lies and will face spiritual as well as legal repurcussions of her acts.

RK and Raji then come a visiting Shanti. Another super lovey dovey scene with RK apologising and Shanti eulogising RK (a bit over the top, i thought) that RK was always a 'god' like figure for her and her dream has come true and so on and so forth. HE calls her his daughter and Indu his 'pethi'. Love all around. Happiness all around until RK tells her that she will find it in her good and kind heart to forgive karthik one day, to which she is silent.

Back at Abhirami's house, SHyam reports to Abhirami that RK went to Shanti's house and next he might go and apologise and accept Rohini. Abhirami first says that it is good that the enemies are in one place, easier to destroy but later loses it.She starts her howling fit which she ends by saying she will ensure all of them suffer.

Shanti informs Madan and Rohini about RK's visit and Rohini says she is veyr unlucky that RK never accecpted her yet. Shanti assures her that he would accept her too.

Karthik opens the door and is ecstatic to see SHanti with Madan. He rushes up to tell RK and Raji that Madan has got Shanti. They all come down to get her in. Shanti looks disturbed. So does Madan. Then suddenly Rohini carrying junior RK steps out from behind SHanti. She looks nervous and says Mama to RK. Shanti and Raji and Madan look terrified in anticipation. RK looks at Rohini with a myriad of emotions flitting past his face. Episode ends wtih us wondering 'will he accept will he not'

27th october
Shyam gives his opinion to Abhirami saying that she needs to go peace "treaty" with Srinivasan. He says that they have earned enemies all around which is not healthy and that Srinivasan after all is our sambandhi. He also points that , Srinivasan's son (ramya's husband) will love his dad the same way as we love our dad, so it is in all way better to have smooth relation with Srinivasan.

Meanwhile, in office, Deepa arrives and informs what she overheard in the hotel to Abhirami and Shyam. They are very furious, but again Shyam insists that atleast pretend that we are samadhanam with Srinivasan.Screen ends for that part.

RK was invited to a small gathering the chamber,. Mathan and RK's partner (forgot his name) gave welcome speech and puts malai..Members give bouquet. Nice to see, that time Srinivasan arrives.Mathan tells RK to sit in president;s chair. Srini gets furious and yells how come everyone forget the rules of chamber. Anyone cannot come and sit in president chair.Members try to protest, that time, RK tells to calm down and tells "If we think in cool mood, we wil know what Srini tells is correct.But he could have told that softly. Anyway, he is true. Whatever, he is not wiling to sit in president;s chair becoz he has seen a lot of all that and now he will continue to give his same dedication and involvement without any post.that is what he prefers.". Srini goes denying RK;s call to join the party. He shouts at his wife in his home. His son comes and takes ma's side. Ramya tells him to stop and go inside and takes her MIL telling "you seem to have fever, i will give medicine".

RK tells Karthik and Raji that Shanti is caring about Karthik so much as she tells to make a business of his own for Karthik to RK. He assures Karthik that Shanti will soon join him.

Abhirami's place - Abhirami asks Shyam to make sure Mohan is in a secure location and has plenty of money to spend. SHe asks him to make sure that Srinivasan doesnt' get hold of him. Shyam is upset with his. He tries convince Abhirami to reconcile with Srinivasan. he says that though she has the money she is surrounded by enemies and she needed to make sure she has some loyal friends around her. Since srinivasan' was Ramya's father in law, they can't afford to alienate him. He says to her that she must think hard about this.

They arrive in the office and continue this conversation. Deepa enters and tells them the story about how she overheard that Srinivasan was the one who engineered the union matters at the hotel to get the power of attorney from Abhirami regarding hotel matters.
They are stunned to hear this. Now Shyam changes his tune and says they shoudl 'act' as if they are good firends with Srinivasan.

At RK's place they are having a peaceful breakfast with idlis. nice happy scene. RK tells Karthik and Raji how Shanti was so concnerned about Karthik and asked RK to make sure to help Karthik establish himself in some gainful occupation. He says he had strong belief that they woudl reunite soon.

Vijaykumar from Chamber comes and joins them. He asks RK to come to a 'small' welcome back party thta the chamber members organised. RK declines but Raji and Karthik convince him to accept.

RK and Vijaykumar enter the party room in the Congress. Madan is sitting at the President's chair. All the members stand up and welcome RK. Malai and everytign goes on. Love fest, positively. With chamber people praising RK and RK praising them and so on. Srinivasan enters and when he sees this, he is furious. He hears Madan asking RK to sit in the President's char and srinivasan loudly interrupts the proceedings to say that RK can't sit in the chair. He says nasty things about RK going to ashram and waht not.

All members esp Vijaykumar and Madan are furious. But RK is very calm and says, he has no itnerest in Presidents chair or post. He will help Chamber fromthe sidelines as a member. He tries to calm everyone down and srinivasan leaves. There is anotehr altercation at the door when Vijaykumar tries to reason with Srinivasan. RK calms Vijaykumar and srinivasan leaves.

Srinivasan goes home furious. His wife overhears him telling all this to some chap on the phone. She asks him to calm down adn let go. She says RK has suffered enuf and no need to prosecute him anymore. He refuses and stands up to slap her but her son comes and stops him. Srinivasan pledges to destroy RK. End of episode.

Abhiramis sister ramya leads her mamiar into her bedroom makes her sit and gives her medicine. Her husband is very tensed. She asks her mamiar to take rest & goes down. Mamiar is little touched. When she goes down, she sees that her husband is very tensed. She pours him some water and asks him to drink and calm down. She says, when amma & appa are talking, don't get in the middle, cause, it is none of our business. Ramya says your dad loves you so much, so don't take things to heart. Vijay says, see my dad has gone to the chamber and he narrates what he heard about his dad & rk. Ramaya slowly talks, & like vazhapazhathil oosi etharamathii, says that don't get me wrong, but you have always been like a adimai to your dad, so suddenly if you talk back, it wont look good. They will think that Im splitting the father and son. So please talk to your father like normal. I will talk to mama. Also, this does not mean that you should remain an adimai all your life. Vijay starts to think.

Shanthi & deepa are talking. & deepa is appreciating shanti's intelligence in hiking up the hotel price& making abhirami fall for it. Shanthi says eppidiyo, the prechanai between abhiram & srinivasan has started, they both laugh

Abhirami is in her office, pretty tensed. She recollects what shyam said, that she should be very tricky with srinivasan, just like how he tricked her. At that time Srinivasan enters, and asks enna sambandhi amma, why did you ask me to come here. Abhirami, says let us stop this cold war that is happening between us. Srinivasan says I don't understand. He says that you are a degree holder in this, im just an lkg,. Abhirami says let us stop this kanamoochi between us, let us become good & true friends. Srinivasan says that since you are talking openly. I will also agree that I have patel, you have mohan, abirami says what about kanduvaddi, Abhirami says let us forget all this. They shake hands. When abirami thinks UNNAI pathukaren, srinivasan thinks the same.

Shanthis mama comes in an auto to shanthis house, Shanthi is happy to see him, & mama says that he came to paratufy shanthi, after he heard about RK , Ashram, & RK accepting her etc. Shanthi says everything is kadavul karunai. Mama says you have solved everyones issues, but I have a korai, please u have to solve it. She says what is it. He asks her & karthik to get back together. Shanthi as always has a distant look. Mama comes back and gives her, her sothu's pathram. Shanthi does not want it back. But Mama says since you have a business, u will need it, I will give this ur money as a seethanam to your daughter. Please take this money, use it atleast for my pethi's padipuu. Shanthi accepts the sothu patharam. Mama is very happy. He goes over to speak to indu. Shanthi I think will invest this in a business for karthik, my opinion entirely.

Srinivasan wife is taking a briefcase, and waits for srinivasan to leave for work. Srinivasan is waiting for his son. He comes out, and he is not ready to go to work. Srinivasan says why don't you aks why we calle d you. Raj says I will just listen to you , I wont ask any questions. Srinivasan says im sorry I should not have talked to you like that, & should not have treated your mom too like that, I m sorry. Raj is listening. Ramya says, mama don't you have any rights to kochufy your son & wife. Raj is still silent, Ramya says ennanga why are you not talking. Raj just looks at his dad and leaves. Ramya says im sorry mama. Srinivasan says I have come down so much and asked sorry, & he walks away disrespectfully. Wont you speak to your son & make him listen. His wife says, first you listen to me, & goes away. Srini says so all have become against me, oh ho pathukaren.

Raji goes to shanthis house, she asks why have you asked me to come. Shanthi says please have a seat I will come I 2 seconds. Shanthi gest a briefcase, and opens it , which has lots of money & a check book. Raji asks what is this. Shanthi says, this is your money, from now on it is your money. Mama gave it to me, so im giving it to me. Raji says why r u giving it to me. Shanthi says that my daughter loves karthik more than me & he loves my daughter equally, so please give this to him & asks him to start a business, as you have a good kairasi. Please suggest this as your opinion and tell him to join arjun & balajis business. Raji says she will consult rk and speak to karthik.

Abirami is thinking about deepa warning her about srinivasan, & shyams advice to act like she will bury the hatchet. Then she remembers shaking hands with srinivasan, & she is in deep thought screen freezes here
