Anandam Updates October 05

Sorry... had a slightly busy day doing nothing special... but didn't get much comptuer time until now

Anyway nothign of significance happened. Suddenly the serial seems to have come to a grinding halt, one of its many in the past 400 odd episode... much like the GT trains we used to take to Madras every summer.

Anyway ... coming to the story

3 Oct 2005 episode

Starts off where we left on friday in Shanti's office where she has just entered looking dazed and confused. Madan rushes to her and tells her that she should get back with karthik and her life will be normal again. She says that it is not very importnat now, the more important thing was to get Karthik back on track. She says that since RK was not around, Madan as elder brother shoudl help Karthik with a job or new business or somethig to give him confidence. Madan is very happy to hear the concern she has for Karthik and promises to do something.

He rushes to Rajeshwari and narrates the incident to her. She is happy too. Karthik enters and they both tell him that Shanti wants him to get back on his feet - he is happy but sad that she hasn't forgiven him entirely. He promises to avenge Abhirami.

Meanwhile, Abhirmani our evil queen is at the hospital by Mohan's bedside enquiring with the doctor if all was well. Doc gives green light and both Mohan and wife literally fall at Abhirami's feet thanking her. She is in her element like a royal queen distributing her largesse. Anyway, when Mohan expresses his fear that Srini would get back at him, she assures him that she woudl protect him.

Over at his house, Srini is FUMING. He is hopping mad at AC that they lost MOhan and issues an ultimatum to the AC to find Mohan. He says abhirami is super dangerous which was proved by the way she 'put her fingers in RK's eyes and shook him' :-) AC assures he will do his best.

AC goes off on field visit investigating right left and center. At mohan's house he sees a lock and questions the neighbours who tell him that mohan hasn't appeared since the accident.

Arjun's two chelas see AC talking to the neighbours of Mohan and suspect that something is wrong. they immediately report this incident to Arjun. Arjun intuitively knows he is on to something and rushes to the Lawyer Prakash's place.

At Lawyer's place, the good AC is thanking him for stopping the transfer order. Lawyer says he had his movtives as he wanted the Divya murder case resolved. Arjun enters and tells them the incident. Both AC and Lawyer are very interested in this new twist in the case. The episode ends with the lawyer looking very interested and curious.

4 th october

RK is still missing.. But this episode has got some interesting thing..

Arjun tells lawyer that he feels there could be some relation between Murthy;s death, Srinivasan and Mohan. Lawyer tells him not to worry as the inspector will enquire and find out the mysteries.

Abhirami sees an Ad in paper for an auction of a star hotel and decides to bid and get that. Informs Shyam to get all the details. Meanwhile, Mathan also is interested in that, being a new business and also since Abhirami is competing, he wants to win, Quite natural thought, Ah!!! Shanti says that sounds good but asks him that whatever she decides at the auction hall would that be ok for him and he says that is fine. A meaningful smile on her face. Abhirami comes to know that Mathan+shanti also competing for the hotel..She, in her usual way, shouts in her home that they watch all her move and she will not leave them to win her anyway. Also she claims that there need to a eligibility for being her enemy too, which they dont possess. All her words and behavior are more of self-boasting, too much.

Now the auction hall!!! Shanti increases the bid to 7crore+ and Abhirami says 8crore and Shanti stops there without bidding further but with again an another meaningful smile on her face. Mathan feels relieved as he didnt wish to spend even 6crore for that hotel.

Abhirami is approaching Shanti and Mathan with a winning face and screen freezes on Shanti's smiling face!!

I guess, Shanti wanted to take advantage of Abhirami's victory thirst and purposely increased the bid and let it go at the end. Let us see today to know the truth. 😊

5th october
Story goes as we predicted. Abhirami and Shyam went into an argument where shyam criticises her having spent more than what the hotel is valued for. Abhirami shouts as she doesnt like advices and at one point says "i didnt touch your pangu". Shyam is speechless and leaves. He goes to Ramya and narrates the entire episode which was overheard by Srinivasan. He has a cunning smile in his face.

Shanti calls Abhirami and makes fun of her foolishness to buy the hotel for 8 crores which is at a max can be valued at 5 crores. Later Abhirami came to know that there are union issues in that hotel and workers salary is pending bla bla.

Mathan tells the hotel episode to his mother and Karthik. Raji-ma feels that it is all RK's hardearned money which is getting lost. Mathan realises that he didnt think in that angle. Karthik brings out a news in the meanwhile, which was published in paper. Gist is, they can argue that RK was not in proper mental state while he wrote the sothu to Abhirami. They are planning to discuss with lawyer regarding this.

I didnt see the last scene where the episode freezes..Anyway, guess nothing so important. Is there anything i missed out?!!

Well, I think now they have found a way to say that the uyil where sothu is given to Abhirami is not valid. How far is that going to workout, we got to wait and see.. 😊

5 Oct 2005 Episode

Abhirami comes over to Shanti's car and says to her and Madan that she won fair and square and told madan that this is not liek the silly chamber presidency. Shanti doesn't say a word but just smiles. She later calls Abhirami at her office and says to her that she thought she won but actually she lost 3 crores extra on a property that is riddled with problems. She tells Abirami that she used to be very admiring of her actions before but now her actions are clouded by 'atthiram' and so she is doing sillier things. She told Abirami that this 'aham bhavam' will cause her downfall as she now is a tani maram.

Madan and Arjun are watching SHanti talk on the phone and are impressed. Madan goes over to inform Rajeshwari and Karthik. Karthik is very proud of Shanti but Rajeshwari says that they must remember that the money that Shanti made Abhirami spend was the hard earned money of RK's. So it is something like killifying a portion of a pillayar made of vellam and offering it to the pillayar. She says that moeny aside, she was worred that the volcano inside ABhirami would now erupt and she woudl plan something devastating targetting shanti... so all must be careful. Karthik tells them about a news article he read in which a judge had passed judgement that the will written by a chappi ewas invalid as his mind was not clear when he signed it. Madan says he will ask Lawyer if they can use this for fighting back all the RK properties. Rajeshwari says whatever they do, they must not let RK's name be affected.

Abirami on the other hand is fuming. She is at home with Shyam and Shyam is yelling on the top of his voice that she made a HUGE mistake in the hotel thing.

1. She has no clue about hotel business
2. She did not investigate what problems the seller had in the hotel that was making him sell
3. She did nto see that shanti was egging her along to raise the price with no intention of buyying but only to make abhirami pay a higher price
4. she was letting emotion cloud judgement.
5. She was a tani maram while they were a team
6. She had already defeated RK family of all the money and property, why wasn't she letting them go and why was she allowing them to bother her.

Abhirami is furious with Shyam and tells him she didn't touch his part of th emoeny and she doesnt' give a damn about money herself. Victory over the RK kudumbam was her goal. Shyam is very upset that she said 'his money' her money. He storms out of the room. He goes to Ramya's place and tells her the whole story. Srinivasan is evesdropping and he gets some idea.

Abhirami is at her office, when lots of people from the union of the hotel she bought turn up. She asks them what they wanted and they started briing up all the union problems - wages, workload etc etc etc. She says that she only bought the hotel and was not obligated to keep them all. She said she wil go thru the employment record and decide who she wanted and who she wanted to fire. The union leader is very upset and tells her that she deosnt' know that hotel business depends on service and the staff was of utomost importance to the hotel's success. She says she bought the hotel and she has the money so she would do what she wants and she did not want advice from anyone least of all employees.

Phew... some action in this episode.. drained me!!

6 Oct 2005 Episode

Very technical and full of business talk episode.

Shanti and Madan go to meet lawyer to inform him of Karthik's discovery of the casee regarding contest of will due to 'confused state'. Lawyer is very impressed and says it could work and though the return of property is very far fetched for now, if they contest the will in the court at least two things can happen

1) Abhirami will have personal interest in getting RK back to prove that he was in good mental health so she might instigate a search or if she had any knowlege of RK , she would make it known
2) RK himself might read about this contest and reveal himself.

Lawyer assures them that he will submit the documents to the court to begin the legal process.

Well, we left Abhirami very angry with the union leaders. Shyam stops her from yelling at them and tells the union leader to give them time to discuss internally and takes Abhirami back to office. She is angry that he stopped her from firing them all.

Corrupt AC informs Srinivasan of all these labour problems Abhirami is facing. Srinivasan is very happy to hear this and says that by this, Srini is assured that there is a God who is looking out for him.

He goes to Abhirami's office and tells her and Shyam that he has years of experience in handling labor problems. He says labor always will ask for more money and management alwaays will never give in to all demands. There has to be a balance someplace inbetween. He says that if Abhirami as owner spoke to these poeple, it would bring down her power and she shoudl use the help of other people such as general manager, labor officer etc etc to deal with such situations. He offers to negotiate with the union leader to resolve thi sissue. Shyam agrees to Srinivasan's suggestion of helping out with this issue. abhirami looks confused but she agrees.

So the three of them go over to the hotel again. Srinivasan talks and talks and talks - the same things again. Union leader listens carefully an dthen says ' who are you to interfere in our labor matters. I know you are a big industrialist and you are Abhirami madam's sambandi.. but you dont' have any official authority to interfere. Screen stops at abhirami's face lookiung very worried and confuseed.

I think that Srinivasan has already 'bought' the union leader. That they have some kind of understanding before this drama they enacted to get something out of abirami :-)

7 Oct Episode

Well, Abhirami was furious at what the union leader said, but her expression was as if she was evaluating the risks of giving authority to Srinivasan. But then she decides to go ahead and says to Union Leader that within 1 hour he will get the documents that show that Srinivasan had authority to deal with these issues. Srinivasan looks happy.

Srinivasan is standing and thanking Union leader for acting very well. We now know that they had a deal. He passess a thick wad of money to the union leader.

Next scene - Abhirami is sitting in a verandah. Beautiful place. Never seen this in any of the previous serials. There is a huge opening thru which you can see the trees and garden. She is sitting on a white rocking thing that hangs from the ceiling. She is wearing a lovely saree and seems content and happy. Loved this scene.

Well, Shyam enters and starts yelling. He does that quite a lot these days. This time it is about his displeasure that she gave Exec Director position to Srinivasan. Abhirami laughs and says, that she had a plan and didn't do this without thought. She says that srinivasan had been bothering her about giving him RK industries and all that, and that she thought that if she gave him this hotel authority he woudl be busy for a while and not bother her. Moreover, she says, she thought that since Rmaya lived in his house, she can't distance him for ever. Shyam seems appeased.

Lawyer asks Gani to investigate further in the divya murder case by interrogating the fella in the jail. HE says that they must find some evidence to implicate kandavettikarn.

Madan comes and informs Karthik and Raji amma that the lawyer will put up the case contesting the will.

IN the last scene, Abhirami calls Shyam to come to her office. But Shyam is very busy doing something and forgets. She is very irritated and calls again. When Shyam comes rushing down, she scolds him, he says he is donig the work of Karthik and Madan by himself and he was very busy. She says get someone to help you. Hire staff. Then he arranges for walk in interviews. The next day, the interview a few people all hopeless. Then Deepa walks in. They are stunned to see her. She says she hates the RK family and the way they behaved. Deepa says she idolized Abhirami for the strength she has and so on. Abhirami is very impressed with her. She offers her the job immediately. She tells Deepa, don't ever lose the hatred for the RK family. Deepa tells her the same.

10 October 2005

Deepa turns up at Shanti's place and tells her that she took up a job with Abhirami and she will work from the 'inside' to give Shanti and family information on how to destroy her. Shanti is very anxious that Deepa might have put her entire life in jeopardy, as Abhirami 'yedukum tunijaval' but Deepa assures her that she would take care of herself, but she was very sure that this is how she wanted to help them. Shanti is very moved by her gesture and holds Deepa's hand in gratitude and admiration.

Deepa's father is also not veyr happy but is willing to support her.

Some lawyer with a very weird accent comes to see Abhirami. I think he is the regular lawyer, the one who got her a divorce and all that. He tells her that Lawyer Prakash is going to file a case against her. Abhirami doesn't seem affected by this. He then tells her that she would be in trouble if RK doesnt' turn up and it woudl be beneficial for her if he turned up. He then asks her ' madam, is RK alive'. She is furious and says how dare you suspect that i had anythign to do with his disappearance. Lawyer then goes off and she appaears pensive.

Inspector Gani goes to visit the prisoner in the Divya murder case and gives him a talking to trying to make him confess. But to no avail. However, the prisoner does seem to be considering his next move. AC calls Srinivasan and reports this interogation. Srinivasan is very happy and says that if this prisoner is found out to be the murderer of his fellow inmate, he will be in trouble, but if he confesses, kandavettikaran will be in toruble and he would drag Abhirami into this and so both ways Srinivasan would be the winner!

Abhirami returns to her car, but the car key is missing. She is searching, when she suddenly gets that crooked evil smile on her face. We see Karthik holding the car keys. He says to her that because this car was bought with someone elses money and you didn't have to sweat for it, you left the keys without a care about its safety. He tells her that they are going to drag her to court. She laughs at him. He says that if RK returned she will be in trouble, as he woudl fight for his money back. And if RK doesn't return, she would be in trouble as they will put case that she kidnapped and hid him. She looks a bit distressed.

11 Oct 2005

Nothing major. Just a bit of follow up on the few threads that are going on.

Abhirami comes to Srinivasan's place to ask for his help to deal with the case that RK's family is putting up against the transfer of property. Srinivasan says to Abhirami that they must put in all their resources to trace RK and produce him in court. Srinivasan's wife is not happy with all these developments and sits and cries in the pooja room and his son consoles her saying he will deal with this.

Kandavettikaran meets up with the prisoner to reassure him as he is very afraid after Insp Gani's talk with him. KV karan reports this incident to Abhirami at her office. Deepa witnesses KV karan's talk with Abhirami - thru the office glass walls she couldn't hear but she is able to understand that something is really wrong.

Deepa reports this visit by KV karan to Shanti and Arjun at Shanti's place. Arjun says he will quickly let the lawyer Prakash know of this as Insp Gani was working under his instructions on this case.

Shyam on the other hand is upset with Abhirami that she is not confiding in him. He says to her that though she has won the money, she seems to have lost all peace of mind.

Karthik and Madan meet Lawyer and tell them that Rajeshwari is not very happy about this case. Lawyer says that the case will be helpful as it will incite Abirami and srini to put in their vast resources to get back RK.

13 Oct 2004 episode

MOMENTOUS EPISODE - we get a look at RK!!! He is at Dakshinamoorthy's ashram at Bangalore. He is praying, meditating and livng a simple life. But he looks very stressed.

Well, we left Shyam advising Abirami about her life. He continues. Tells her that he is very apprehensive about the way things are going in her life. He says he was especially anxious that she has interaction with KVkaran as he was implicated in the Divya murder case and all that.

At Srinivasan's place, AC is telling Srinivasan that KV Karan went to meet Abhirami. Srinivasan's wife hears this and tells Ramya that she is very worried about the way Srinivasan and abhirami seem to be doing something really weird. She said to Ramya that she couldn't influence Srinivasan and asks her to talk to Abhirami about all this.

At the lawyers place, arjun turns up to inform Lawyer and gani that KV karan went to Abhirami's office and that they had some really heated discussion on soem issue. Lawyer is really interested with this development.

After showing that shot in Bangalore of RK in the ashram, they show Madan telling Shanti in the office that some client wanted to meet them urgently in Bangalore, but he coudln't go as he had to meet the foreign delegates in Madras. So Shanti agrees to go to Bangalore to meet this client.

Bell rings in Raji amma's house. She is toduthufying flowers and asks Karthik to open the door. He opens door, and the shot freezes on his expression. He looks amazed, then apprehensive, then pensive. We wonder who it is on the other side. Turns out to be Shanti and she looks at him. End of episode!!!

14 Oct 2005 Episode

Shanti at Raji's house - Shanti and Karthik stand on either side of the door step just staring at each other. Both clearly uncomfortable. Raji calls out 'who is it, Karthik'. He doesnt' know what to say. Shanti says 'its me' and goes into the house. Karthik follows but stands far apart. Raji welcomes Shanti and offers her the flowers. Shanti asks her to put it in her hair. Raji puts the flowers in Shanti's hair. Shanti tells Raji that Madan wants her to go to Bangalore on business and asks Raji to accompany her. Raji says she felt that her place was at home waiting for RK, as if RK returned and she was not at home, she would feel very bad. Shanti agrees and leaves.

Mohan's house. His wife looks very sick. He says he will buy medicines for her. She iw worried that srinivasan or his men might spot him. Mohans says he would rush to the pharmacy and rush back. Srinivasan is going somewhere by car. He sees Mohan buying medicines. He gets out of the car and calls out. Mohan runs through the traffic and gets back home. Both he and wife panic. She says she will go and inform Abhirami of this new development next monring.

Srinivasan is furious that he missed Mohan. He asks his men to go to the area and serach for him. He is flipping channels on tv and can't find anything interesting to watch. He sees a clip of an ashram and thinks that with all this tension in his life, it would be better to live in an ashram where he would get food on time and it will be peaceful. Suddendly, he spots RK on the scene in the TV. He is thrilled and has an evil grin and is very very happy.

The next morning they MOhan's wife goes to Abhirami's house. She falls at Abhirami's feet and asks her to move them out of town> Abhirmai says no, she would take care of them here itself. Asks her bodygaurd to drop her back to her house.

Shyam is very unhappy with this. He says that MOhan's wife and MOhan woudl leaad them into trouble. She doesn't agree. Shyam is very upset and goes to Ramyas house and tells her to talk to Abhirami.

Abhirmai's main gate. Police car stops there and asks gaurd to open. Bodygaurd comes rushing out. The chief inspector asks for abhirmai. She comes down the stairs with Shyam. They both look at the policemen.
