A lot is happening in Rajan Shahi's 'Amrit Manthan'. Apart from a seven-year time leap, the show's time slot will be changed to 7.30 pm from February 18 (the original time slot was 8.30 pm). And there is a twist in the track, too.Adaa Khan aka Amrit will turn con-woman with Karan Mehra aka Yug as her partner in crime.
Adaa's character is inspired by Ricky (played byRanveer Singh) in Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl. A source says the new track revolves around the fact that people who are least suspected — most of them highly sophisticated and leading a luxurious life — turn out to be cons, who target business magnets.
Says Adaa, "I got to play various shades — from good to grey and bad to ugly — in this show. And now, I am excited to play a con-woman. It will be great to get into different get-ups. The first look will be of an old woman and I was stunned to see myself like that. Even the cast and crew failed to recognise me. The very idea of being a con-woman is quite exciting." When asked if her character is similar to Ricky, she says, "I haven't seen that film. If I have to take inspiration for the character, it has to be Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom 2. He was so stylish and attractive." Certainly.
