Chapter 2

Amit n amita were travelling silently in their car..Amit was looking straight in between stealing glances at Amit.He turned and caught her stealing a glance at him...
Raising an eyebrow he said "U can listen to music if u want"
Amita said "Music !?! What music ?"
Amit said "U wanted to play ur CDs right? thts wht u wanted to ask isnt it?"
Amita gave a confused look then decided to go along " Oh yes music ...yes I want to play music"
Giving her trademark smil she shuffled through the CDs...

" Hum yahan tum yahan dil jawan wo sama...lekin kahan shuru shuru ke pyaar ka...phir se chalo churaye dil yaar ka"

The song wafted in the car...To avoid staring at him she looked ahead with full concentration as if road ahead was the most intresting thing on earth.
Suddenly she switched off the music.
Amit looked at her puzzled " Why did u stop it ?"
Amita replied "Bas aise hi ...anyways ur not very fond of music."
Amit said "Aisa nahi hai...I hav got used to it now" and switched on the music.
Amita's eyes grew round in wonder..."Amitji is enjoying music !!!"

"I m sure I am dreaming" She mumbled.
Amit turned towards her "what?"
She replied "nothin aap drive kariye"

The pooja at the Patels was usual noisy and gala event...Amit had taken over the role of son of the house and was busy helping the Patels.
Amita followed him with a mesmerised look...Priti dragged away Amita to her room...Amita asked impatiently
"Why did u ppl dragged me here?"
Priti said "Did something happen ? Did u confess ?"
Amita said "No...how can I..besides I m.not sure if I shld say it...He might get offended"
Priti said "R u nuts...Amit is behaving so nicely towards u tht means he is def thawing.U must confess..Accha tell me u didnt get any chance to talk to him ?"
Amita said "No...I mean yes today we slipped in the bathroom..."

"what!!!" All three of her friends shouted "U both slipped in bathroom ?"
" Why were U both together in it?"
"Give us the details"

Amita said exhasperated "jo sooch rahi ho waisa kuch nahi hai...I rushed into the bathroom to get my mangalsutra...I was in hurry so dashed into Amitji we fell down n they he tucked my hairs.."
She suddenly stopped turning pink.

Jigna jumped up in happiness "WHAT !! He did what !!he tucked ur hair !! wat did u do??...Why didnt u tell him ur feeling"

Amita was bombared with question frm her excited friends.Amita said "Bas bhi karo..I do want to tell him but in a romantic way at a nice location not in a bathroom"
Her friends laughed...Amita ame out of her room looking for Amit.He was looking across the room his eyes searching for Amita..
He caught her eyes and his lips parted in a slight smile.Amita Grinned back at him...She could continue looking in his eyes forever.

Later at home Amita was laying the bed...She heard a groan.Turning around she saw Amit sitting on the sofa rubbing his back.
Concerned she went to him "Wat happened amitji?"
He said "Nothing its a little backache"
Amita said "Backache ! where ? How ?"
He said "Its nothing I am fine u go to sleep"
Amita said "No Amitji...How come ur having backache...is it because of tht fall?"
Amit said "I guess so"
Amita said "Why didnt u tell me before U were in pain whole day ...I wld hav cancelled our visit"
Amita said "I am fine Amita...It was not hurting tht time...plus ur parents wlf hav felt bad"

Amita Said "No amitji its my fault..Ur hurt becoz of me and u didnt even bother to tell me...Show me where ur hurt...I'll put some medicine"
Amit tried to protest"Amita there's no need for all this...I am fine...Why r u cring for me U know we dont really need to do this for each other".

Amita felt a pang in her heart but said "I know amitji...I am not doing this for u but for my own sake..I will hav this guilt feeling in my consciuos tht U got hurt because of me.please sleep on the bed today.U wont be comfortable here.Shld I call mom to apply medicine ?"

Amit's stern expressions softended "No dont call mom she will anyways say get it done by Amita she she might get suspicious"

He came on the bed and removed his shirt...Amita applied the medicine on his back.
Although he didnt want to admit but her massage did sooth his pain...
"She genuinely cares for me" he thought

After sometime he said "Its fine now...U can leave it now"
Amita asked "ur sure?"
He replied "yes I am fine"
She laid down to sleep...When Amit said "Thanks for the massage"

She blushed and smiled...He had already closed his eyes...Amita sat looking at her
husband??...he was so unpridictable...one moment he wld shld care n concern next moment he wld dash her hopes with his words...he was simple yet to difficult to understand.

Oh...So Mr. Amit is wrapped up in his so called ego..I feel he is like a coconut..Hard outside, Soft and juicy inside.. But no worries, I hope he u/stands his and his wife's feelings soon..

Love your update and I love Amit and Amita. First I thought, since I love your way of writing and your stories, that I will just read it, enjoy it and imagine our SY in it.

But than it bugs me who are the people who inspired you to write again. So I went, and checked the show, and I like it. I am still catching up with old episodes, but I love both of them, their next door appearances, her cuteness, his "I do not care for you" attitude, that is melting away as days go by. Love her friends also.
