CHAPTER - 3

During the flight,Ananya took out a small diary and started writting something while looking into the sky.At that moment,Natasha came into the cockpit with some refreshments for the pilots.She gave it to Akash and said,"Ye lijiye Captain aaj aapki favourate refreshments hai,cheese sandwich aur aapke favourate brand ki coffee bhi."Ananya gave a look to Akash and then resumed her writting.Akash said,"You know Natasha aaj mujhe actually ye sab khaane ka bohot man kar raha tha.Thank God ke tum is flight mein ho.Sach mein agar tum nehi hoti to mera kya hota."Natasha getting melted with the flirting and broadly smiling replied,"Ya tabhi to mujhe aapki flight attend karne ko mili hai.Captain!!"Natasha was about to leave when Akash stopped her and asked,"Isn't it looks bad not to ask Officer Rawat for something?"Natasha was a bit offended and just to please Akash,she was about to ask when Ananya replied,"No thanks!!Mujhe kuch nehi chahiye."Natasha shook her shoulders and then left from there.For quite sometime,Akash was watching her writting something,alongwith taking care of the necessary instructions during the flight.Akash asked,"Kya likh rahi ho?"Ananya immediately hid the diary and replied,"Kuch nehi Captain!!"He said,"Bohot time se dekh raha hu that you are writting something while looking outside.Poetry voetry likh rahi ho kya?"Ananya replied,"No Captain!!Main to bas yuhi."He asked,"Yuhi kya?"Ananya closed her diary and understood that she wouldn't be able to write anything now and so she put it inside her bag.Akash smiled and said,"You know first officer kal jab maine tumhe pehli baar dekha tha na mall mein vaise chocolates khaate huye,tab maine ek baar ke liye bhi nehi socha tha ke tum ek pilot ho.You know...first impression."Ananya asked,"Aap pehle hi impression mein logo ko judge kar lete hai?"Akash said,"Aamtaur par nehi par mujhe aisa laga aaj.By the way ye sandwiches bohot tasty hai,you should try one."Ananya politely rejected and said,"No Captain!!Vo mujhe cheese pasand nehi hai and...mujhe bhukh bhi nehi hai."He was amused and asked,"Kyu nervous ho?"Ananya replied,"Nehi nervous nehi hu,kyuki ye meri koi pehli flight to hai nehi par ha excited hu kyuki ye meri pehli commercial flight hai."Akash said,"Ya of course I can understand but you know darne ki koi baat nehi hai kyuki main hoon na and in case you are scared to tum mera haath pakar sakti ho."Saying he gave a flirty laugh to her and she felt too disgusted to reply.In her mind,she said,"Pata nehi aise aadmi ko pilot kaise bana liya."Akash seemed to have heard what she said in her mind and so he replied,"Kaabiliyat aur experience ke dam par mujhe pilot banaya hai."Ananya was shocked and looked at him all boggled.Akash gave a meaningful smile to her and said,"Yehi soch rahi thi na apne dil mein ab itne zor se sochogi to sunaayi to parta hi hai."Ananya nodded her head and then concentrated towards her flight.

In the economy class,a couple with a small boy were travelling to Goa.The boy was very scared and crying like hell and his parents alongwith the crew were trying hard to control the boy but failed.One of the cabin crew,went to the cockpit and informed the same to the captain.Captain asked,"What happened Mahima?"Mahima replied,"Captain vo economy class mein ek chota sa bachcha hai I think 3-4 years old,vo bohot ro raha hai.In fact uske parents bhi usko chup nehi kara pa rahe hai.I think usko koi aur problem ho rahi hai."Akash said,"To ab hum kya kar sakte hai?Ab baaki passengers ko chor kar hum baby sitting to nehi kar sakte hai.Jaao jaakar usko handle karo,vaise bhi hum thori der mein land karne hi waale hai."Mahima said,"Hum tabse koshish kar rahe hai Captain but kuch nehi ho raha hai.Natasha bhi koshish kar rahi hai.Please captain kuch kijiye baaki ke passengers ko bohot difficulty ho rahi hai."Akash said,"Main kya karu?Mujhe bachche sambhaalne nehi aate.Iam still bachelor."Ananya said,"Agar aapko koi objection na ho captain to main ek baar jaakar koshish kar sakti ho."He gave her a mocking smile and asked,"Kitne bachche hai tumhaare?Itne der se pura cabin crew koshish kar raha hai aur tum akele kar logi?"Ananya felt disgusted and replied,"Captain ek bachcha ro raha hai aur usey chup karaane ke liye bachche hone ke zarurat nehi hai.Main jaanti hu sab koshish kar rahi hu par ek baar main kar lu."Akash gave permission and then asked her to go only once.

Ananya went out of the cockpit and then walked towards that kid in the economy class.On reaching there,she found the kid was still crying and whenever his mother was trying to comfort him,he used to push her hands and beat her.Ananya asked the boy,"Kya hua beta?Aap aise kyu kar rahe ho?Koi problem hui hai?"The boy didn't reply to her and still kept on crying.She sat on her knees and held the boys hands gently and then brought him down of his seat.She brought him near her and then hugged him and started patting on his back.She asked,"Aap good boy ho na aur brave boy bhi ho bolo kya hua hai mujhe?Kya hua jo itna ro rahe ho,koi taklif ho rahi hai?"The boy still didn't reply and kept on crying.Ananya got up alongwith the boy in her arms and then said to the mother,"Uh...Iam sorry but agar aapko koi problem na ho to kya hum isey apne saath vaha crew station mein lekar jaaye shaayad chup ho jaaye."The mother said,"Ji nehi uski koi zarurat nehi paregi,I can handle him."She tried to take her son but he didin't go to her from Ananya's arms and held her tightly by his neck.At last on persuation,the mother gave her permission.Ananya took the boy to the crew station while constantly patting him and slowly to everyones surprise the boy stopped crying.Ananya tried to make the boy sit but he didn't come down of her arms and held her tight as if he was feeling secured in there.Ananya sat on a seat and said to the boy,"Beta main ek pilot hu na to mujhe to waha waapas jaana parega na varna plane land kaise hoga?Aap betho,agar aapko bhukh lage to ye aunties hai na inko kaho ye aapko khila dengi."She was about to leave but the boy held her hands tightly and then Ananya gave him a chocolate which she brought for her and then said,"Thik hai to phir aap ye chocolate khatam karo dekhna iske khatam hone se pehle hi main waapas aa jaaungi.Ok?"The boy took the chocolate and then leaved her hand and then opened the wrapper of the chocolate.Before entering the cockpit,Ananya said to Mahima,"Mujhe lagta hai baat kuch aur hai,jabtak saare passengers utar nehi jaate hai,inhe utarne mat dena and main Captain se kehti hue k doctor bulaane ko in case the kid needs one."Mahima nodded her head and then Ananya went inside the cockpit.

On getting inside the cockpit,Akash said,"Tum itni jaldi aa gayi??Maine to socha ke bachche ko goad lekar usko khaana khila kar,sula kar aur phir usko bara karne ke baad aaogi."Ananya didn't pay heed to his words and remained confused and tensed as always.Akash called her and asked,"Hullo???Miss Ananya Rawat???Are you there?"Ananya in a confused way asked,"Captain ek baat bataiye ek bachcha to sabse zyaada close apni ma se hota hai,phir ye bachcha apni ma ko maar kyu raha tha?"Akash looked at Ananya as if he was seeing an alien and asked,"Hai???Main kya koi bachcho ka psychiatrist lagta hu tume jo mujhe pata hoga?"Ananya replied,"Common sense to I hope hogi na captain.Usise bata dijiye."He thought and replied,"May be vo uski step mom ho,you know."Ananya replied,"Ha ho sakta hai par tab to is case mein uska baap to saga hi hoga,tab bhi vo larka apne papa ko bhi maar raha tha,ab dono parents to sautele nehi ho sakte hai."Akash was confused and seemed to be lost and asked,"Tum kehna kya chahti ho?"Ananya replied,"Aap jaante hai captain vo bachcha hai na constant roye hi ja raha tha aur apni ma ko,apne baap ko maar raha tha,kisike paas nehi ja raha tha aur jab maine usko goad mein liya vo chup ho gaya aur mere goad se neeche hi nehi utar raha tha.Mujhe yaha aane hi nehi de raha tha.Aapko lagta hai something...you know very fishy kinda..."Akash replied,"Ho sakta hai koi mental problem ho..."She said,"Ha mujhe bhi yahi laga please aap ek doctor ko bulaane ko keh dijiye."He agreed and then asked the cabin crew to prepare for landing.

On landing the flight,all the passengers started boarding off.Ananya and Akash came out of the cockpit and she went towards the boy.Natasha whispered to Akash,"You know tumhaari ye co-pilot is really handy in handling kids.Hum sab is bachche ko chup karaane ki kitni koshish kar rahe the par vo chup hi nehi hua aur iske paas aate hi chup ho gaya.Isko to pilot nehi,baby sitter hona chahiye tha."Akash looked at Ananya while she was talking with the kids.Ananya said to the boy,"Dekho aapka chocolate khatam hone se pehle hi main aa gayi."She gave her hand to him and said,"Mera naam Ananya hai,aapka naam kya hai?"The boy didn't reply and just stared at Ananya.At that time,the boy's parents too came and on seeing them,the boy got very scared and hugged Ananya tightly.The father said,"Chalo beta dekho tum yaha ghumna chahte the na dekho hum Goa aa gaye."The boy was scared and removed the man's hand and just uttered,"Mamma!!"The woman said,"Ha beta main to yehi hu,chalo aao."The boy again removed her hand and said,"Mamma!!"Ananya looked confusingly towards the boy and asked,"Beta yehi to aapke mamma papa hai?"The boy nodded his hand and said,"Mamma!!"Ananya was horrified.At that time,a doctor arrived and he checked the boy.He said,"Bachche ki aakhe dekh kar lagta hai usey kisi kisam ka sedative diya gaya hai jisse ke vo bohot der se soya hua tha."Mahima said,"Yes first officer doctor sahi keh rahe hai,mujhe abhi bhi yaad hai jab ye log aaye the to bachcha so raha tha aur kaafi der tak soya,jab aap aayi usse thori der pehle jaga aur phir rone laga."Ananya asked the parents,"Kaun hai aap log?Ye bachcha aapka nehi ho sakta hai?"The man replied,"Ye kaisi baate kar rahi hai aap?Ye hamaara hi bachcha hai."Ananya angrily replied,"Main tabse dekh rahi thi ke ye aapse bohot dara hua hai,koi bhi bachcha apne ma baap se nehi darta hai.Sach sach bataiye kaun hai aap log,varna main police ko bulaaungi."The woman too angrily said,"Ye mera beta hai ab kya saboot dena parega aap logo ko?"Ananya raised her finger on the lady's face and said,"Zarurat pari to main khud aap logo ka DNA test karwaaungi.Abhi to is baat ka faisla police hi karegi."Just then the police arrived and Akash said,"Ah cops are there!!Remand mein le lijiye inko probably ye log is bachche ko kidnap karne ki koshish kar rahe the."The cops took away the couples and they kept on shouting about their innocense.Ananya hugged the boy and then patted him.Akash was smiling seeing the way Ananya was handling the kid,just like a mother.He came to them and he put his hand on the boy's back and said,"Beta ab darne ki koi baat nehi hai,dekho vo log chale gaye hai.Abhi aap bilkul safe hai."The boy looked at Akash and Ananya asked,"Captain aapko kaise pata chala ke ye dono kidnappers hai?"He replied,"Pata mujhe nehi aaphi ko to chala hai First Officer,aapne hi to kaha tha ke bachcha apne ma baap se dar raha hai aur unhe maar raha hai.To bas isse zyaada aur kisi baat ko janne ki zarurat hi nehi hai.Iam sure ye kidnappers hi honge.To ab chale?"Ananya nodded her head.She put the boy down and then took her coat and luggage and held the boy's hand and walked out of the aircraft.While walking towards the airport,Akash said,"Aapko at least mujhe ek baar thanks to bolna hi chahiye tha,maine police bulakar aapki madat ki."Ananya replied,"Thank you so much Captain!!Agar aap nehi hote to pata nehi kya hota."Akash gave a winner smile and said,"Ha vo to hai but on serious note,agar aap nehi hoti to pata nehi is bachche ka kya hota.Vaise aap kaafi expert hai bachche handle karne mein.Natash ne bataya mujhe isko koi chup nehi kara pa raha tha par aapne jhat se chup kara diya.Wow!!Iam impressed!!"Ananya replied,"Well!!I get along with kids very well kyuki mujhe bachche bohot pasand hai.Main unke saath sara din bita sakti hu,I won't get bored."Saying she smiled at him and then said,"Ab chale Captain!!"Akash looked at her and then she walked forward with the boy.Akash stood there and while looking at her,said,in his mind,"She does have some qualities!!I like it!!Impressive!!"He was lost in Ananya's thought when suddenly he realized and said,"Ye kya soch raha hai yaar Akash??Have a grip on yourself!!I know ye beautiful hai,achchi hai but she's not your type.C'mon lets move!!"He started walking towards out of the airport where his car was waiting totake him to the hotel.
