Peepli Live

So Peepli Live was being advertised on Agle Janam. I have seen Aamir Khan's Peepli Live, and it is an absolutely great movie. It too has a rural backdrop (in Peepli village) and is based in Bihar as is AJ.

Not for kids though. Lots of swear words. But I give it 10 out of 10 for excellent story, for acting, for its details, for lack of blunders ... all of which the AJ team should learn from and apply to their own serial . šŸ˜†šŸ˜†

(In fact the AJ team should sit down and study the way Aamir Khan makes his movies. I am sure they will learn a lot from him.)

Peepli Live's dialog is also more authentic then AJ's. I think the people will say it is a more Bihari way of speaking then AJ is!!

I am sure Aamir Khan will win several awards for this movie.šŸ‘šŸ‘

Yea its a very good movie with a great storyline. Aamir Khan is a very good director. Youre right about AJ needs to learn from it,by not putting in too many bloopers. I think that is the problem with the show. However i think the acting is top and the storyline, and they do need to make the dialogue a bit more athentic like that, but its still quite good.

Love Love love Amir Khan because he knows how to make quality movies not like some of those dumb bollywood movies. I have not seen Peepli but I plan to. I know it has to do with farmers committing suicide due the the money they owe and how they can't pay it...so sad.

He will win awards. He is a very good director, actor etc. very talented.

The situation of how the people in the rural areas trying to live is so sad. Their life is so hard....look at Laali.

I am glad people are taking some action to make some awareness of the problem, hopefully it will help.

Telv: It is about a farmer, Natha. Natha and his brother, the two poor farmers around whom the story is based, were not too good either. The two brothers instead of saving money, used to drink it away. As for the suicide thing, Natha and his brother were only discussing it, was heard by a journalist, who wrote a small story somewhere in the back pages of a newspaper, was picked up by a TV station who went down to the village and did an interview ... and after that it became a media circus, and then the region's political parties became involved, as well as the police, the military, who all headed down to the village to get a piece of the action

But the fact remained that poor farmers were committing suicide across the country because they couldn't pay off loans, their farms were suffering due to droughts and other problems, and there was no help from govt either in any way to help farmers boost production. The farmers were basically left to their own devices.

Instead of trying to find a solution to this problem, the media, the political parties and everyone else were concerned only about whether Natha was going to commit suicide or not.

Sounds great. A must see! Amir Khan makes movies with social issues. Did you the the movie šŸ‘three idiots--about the pressure on students in India from parents and schools, the other movie was about a kid who was dysleixic...his parents thought he was dumb but the teacher Amir Khan found something in him.....two great movies.šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

Yep, seen all of them. All are great movies, well-made and worth all the awards. All are interesting, topical, have social issues as its themes and to top it all, commercially very, very successful. Someone should have used his formula long time ago.

Well I saw the movie Peepli Live today and found it to be very good of course it is Amir Khan.
It was sad and funny at the same time.
Amazing how much time people spent on the guy who mentioned sucide and once this story was gone he was forgotten. No one was interested in him. Makes you think about the priorities of the media. Everyone just stayed on the story but did not provide much help to the family.
No one wanted to tough the issues....Good movie...
