jamuni is watching lali. sid tells jamuni to leave because she wants to change her clothes to go for diya and not to hang out in the room like lali. jamuni leaves. sid closes the door and thinks she will tell shekhar lali fell off the bed. sid pulls the bedsheets til lali is at the edge of the bed. shekhar comes. sid tells shekhar she was shaking the bedsheets since they are dirty. lali is about to fall off the bed. shekhar runs to lali and catches her and puts her back on the bed. lali wakes up. shekhar helps lali sit up and puts the covers on her. lali pushes the covers away saying they are sid's. shekhar says this isnt the time to think about this, shes weak and to rest, why is she being stubborn. sid says why is he being stubborn, lali said shes ok. shekhar tells sid to shut up. lali says sid is right, she will go out to her place. shekhar gives sid an angry look. lali picks up her sari that came off. shekhar leaves. sid tells lali not to leave before cleaning the bed she made so dirty. lali says she will do it and change the sheets. sid gives lali the bedsheets. lali fixes the bed but feels pain on her stomach. sid tells lali to do it well. sid says lali lives like an animal, what will she know. lali fixes the bed. sid tells lali to leave. lali leaves holding her stomach and sits outside the room.

ridhi and sidhi play. nandini scolds them. dadaji shows ridhi and sidhi how to light a diya and says its lit to get out pain from hearts. loha comes and tells them to hurry up lighting the diyas. ranvijay comes and says to ridhi and sidhi to play together. nandini says no the kids eardrums will break. ranvijay says why doesnt nandini say shes scared of fireworks. kaushalya asks jamuni how lali is. jamuni says sid kicked her out of the room to change her clothes. kaushalya asks sid who comes where lali is. sid says she doesnt know. shekhar comes. gangiya says to start the rasams. kaushalya says she will bring lali. gangiya says what is the need to bring lali, whos hurt, she cant walk and to let her rest. loha says its good for lali to rest and to let the pooja start. kaushalya and loha do pooja. shekhar leaves.then ranvijay and nandini and ridhi sidhi. jamuni and ranvijay look at each other.
shekhar comes to the balcony and sees lali sitting on the floor with diya. lali says she used to celebrate diwali with her siblings. shekhar asks what did she used to do. flashbacks of lali in the village with family and sanichari are shown. lali wipes her tears away. shekhar wipes his tears away from his eyes.
everyone does fireworks. jamuni watches ranvijay do them. kaushalya tells him the kids are getting scared. ranvijay says its finished and to play mens game. the men and loha take out guns and shoot at the air. gangiya says there will be stayanas tonight. ranvijay says no one will know what is happening to the khet tonight.
some men are going in a van to the land.
shekhar and lali watch from the balcony. shekhar says to lali her dads diya must have given a lot of light. shekhar looks at the diya and says hes trying to see what he felt in her talks. shekhar gives lali the diya.
