Sideshwari tells Shekhar to go to Laali
Sideshwari as usual sitting in front of the mirror and dressing, while Sehkhar is in a deep thoughtđ. Sideshwari finally turns around, and asks him what's he's looking at.
Shekhar and Laali
Shekhar slowly opens the door, and Laali is sitting down with her veil on. Once Shekhar arrives, she get's up and remembers dai telling her to ask Shekhar to put the red sindoor. Laali goes up to him, and tells Shekhar that there is still one important ritual remaining, and she put's forward the sindoor cup.
Laali starts crying
Laali tells him that after the girls Gauna, her husband has to put on the red sindoor. Shekhar turns his face away, and doesn't reposnd. Poor Laali, she goes back and sits on the bed. She starts crying and questions as to why he's punishing her. And that she has been dreaming of him since childhood, and he's her husband. Shekhar says "yeh kya bakwaas hai". Laali says "it might be bakwaas for you, but for me it's the truth, and though I had not seen your face I had been living with this name since childhood". She shows him the pillow, which has Ganesiya written on it.
Shekhar is surprised, and remembers how Laali has been behaving with her all this while. Laali keeps crying, and says you didn't even come to the village to get me and instead sent the thakur, and now you have kept me closed in this kothri, like an animal. After saying all this, Laali starts crying very loudly.đ
Shekhar comes close to Laali but refuses to put on the Sindoor
Shekhar finally comes close to her, and sits down beside her. He tells Laali not to cry, but Laali says, if anyone is treated like me, they will cry. Shekhar tries to talk to her, and Laali finally stops crying, and opens her Jhaapi (her suitcase). She shows Shekhar the gifts that she has brought for him; Laali is very excited now.đ Laali asks him if he liked them, Shekhar abruptly says yes. But Laali realizes that this stuff is not of much importance for him, as the thakurs love him and have given him all the rings and stuff. But Laali tells him that he has to put on the sindoor. Shekhar becomes tensed and says "no, not now".and leaves from there.
Dai-Ranvijay Shekhar-Kaushalaya
As Shekhar is leaving from Laali's room, Dai and Ranvijay are standing on the terrace and they see him leaving. They then play that cunning music in the backgroundđ. Shekhar comes in the haveli, and Kaushalaya asks him how come he's here at this time, as he should be with Laali. Shekhar stops her and tells her that he can't do this to a girl, who thinks of her as a husband. Ranvijay and Dai hear their conversation as well from the above. Ranvijay tells Dai that if Babu jee find this out, then he will go pagal(mental) right theređ, as this is a matter of the waaris. Dai instigates him further, and then afterwards gives him a bidi(Indian cigarette)đ, as it will cool him downđ. Ranvijay doesn't take it, but Dai tells him to take it, and not shy away as she is like his mother and she has taken care of him since his childhood. Ranvijay takes it and smiles.
Kaushalaya tells Shekhar that he has to do this!
Now back to Shekhar and Kaushalaya, they are still arguing. Sehkhar tells her that, "the girl(Laali) has so many expectations and I can't develop the same feelings for her". Kaushlaya tells him that all is decided now, and if he is that worried about the girl then he should go tell her the entire truth. And that she is just here to give a waaris, and that he is not her Ganesiya. Shekhar is still not pleased. Btw Ranvijay and Dai are still peaking at all of this from the topđ. Kaushlaya tells Shekhar once again that you have to do this, but Sehkhar just leaves from there.
Ranvijay is tensed but Dai has a plan
Ranvijay is tensed that Kaushalya is trying so hard to persuade Sehkhar and Shekhar might end up agreeing to her, but Dai tells him not to worry as nothing will happen between them. Again they play that evil musicđ.
Laali comes close to the truth
It's morning time, and Laali comes out of her room, and tries to find Shekhar. She heads towards the haveli. Shekhar is sleeping outside on a chair.
Laali doesn't know that it's him, she tries to come close to see the face, but before that Dai comes there. Dai tries to awake Shekhar up and calls him "Chhote thakur". Laali is hiding behind and watching, she still doesn't know that the man there is Shekhar. Shekhar gets up from his chair, and heads inside, and they just show Laali's shocked face.
Tomorrow
There's some festival or something, and many people are dancing inclusind Shekhar and Sideshwari together. While Laali comes in the haveli, and she sees Sehkhar there.
