in ITALY you must wait for 5 to 8 years before you are provided a speech therapist freely twice a week the child from 2 or 3 years waiting these years become a child of 8 to 10 yrs then he begins to learn something and its becomes so difficult.just think it is Europe otherwise you just pay 80 euros per session.

No speech therapist will work for free................after all it is his livelihood. But there are many who do give concessions.
It does drain the family's finances and in that sense I would say they are showing the parents' dilemma pretty well in the serial.

There are plenty of handicaps that would need to be covered.......autism is one of them. There are plenty of cases who are worse off than autistic ones. 😭

I really feel the financial stress when I watch the show. It's well done.

Is there any state funding or any private charities people can apply to for developmental disabilities? There are options like that in the US, available to low income families. Autism is very expensive--therapies, dedicated childcare (cannot just send them to any old school, plus not just anyone can take care of them if parents have to go out), extended diapering, special foods and supplements, sometimes medications, adaptations people have to make to their homes, etc etc. Though one feels bad to say it, it can be a crushing financial burden. We don't qualify for much based on income, and we just have to cut back on other stuff to make it all work.

Mahika.
