We do say this sentences at times.
Also most of the dialogues or words spoken by a husband and wife does not always have a basis for double meaning .
2nd para : Abhi was just pulling her legs and making fun of her . there are so many thing that an husband and wife talk, when they are alone so he just said it casually. (thats what i felt,)
Also play full dialogues between husband and wife provides a bonding between the couple.
Mesimi I totally agree with what u have written and i have not felt any thing wrong in what they said.
But one thing I cant understand is why are people dissecting each and ever small thing thats been shown in the show.
No shows are perfect and ofcourse there will be mistakes and such type can be ignored. and thats what i feel.

Er, yeah, we got that stuff all as well, but it didn't make sense when certain lines were said by the what we saw as the wrong person. It's not a dissection as five of us noted it. If you don't know just say - you don't know.

Also what ever is the way it the dialogues delivered I and many of us liked last weeks episdoes and we can ignore many thing.

Request that you say you don't know what was being said and that you DON'T tell me what I should and should say or ask here. What I say should and does not have a negative impact at all unless YOU are reading things into things that have not been said.
Seems to me you are getting worked up over something and I'd like to WHAT?

This means wake up, its morning. About the thieves going home, it just is a phrase used for telling someone its midday. Thieves dont work in broad daylight. So if thieves have gone home, it means its broad daylight /mid day.So she meant it already bright and sunny outside. Wake up.
I have heard my own neighbour saying about her son.....jab chor kaam pe lagte hain, toh kaam karta hai, aur sota hai jab chor apne ghar chale jaate hain. He used to work for a call centre at night and sleep during the day. thats how i know the meaning.
Abhi saying the dialogue referring her as thief is beacause Simi being the shy person is never going to say things like that to him about losing oneself entirely or her virginity to her husband. So Abhi told instead. The meaning behind it is very well understood. Though man and woman lose their virginity to each other, it is never mentioned. Though it is both ways., Abhi was just ragging her instead.

mesimi it does make sense. But I too felt out of place. But when u explained it makes perfect sense.
Simi can never say those words and yes it is mututal.
But I guess it is more important for woman because the consequnces can be pregnancy,
That is why it is mentioned like woman loosing virginity.
But thanks for explaining. I know simi will never tell Abhi. She was just blushing . She did not even said anything back. Instead she blushes and says sharm karo.
I have also herd that mahavara from my grand ma telling my brotther who used to stay out late at night to come back early and sleep early like normal ppl only theifs stay out late at night.

Frankly I didn't even think of the tumne kal raat ko mera sab kuch chura liya part as being about taking away his virginity.
I interpreted it in a metaphorical romantic (i think so😳) way, sort of like - by showing me what it's like to make love to/with you you have stolen me from myself (sounds silly in English but hume humse churaliya is common line in Hindi lyrics) - meaning you have stolen my control over my own mind, my thoughts, my peace. After this mindblowing experience I am going to be lost to myself and always thinking about you and wanting to be with you. You have made me totally yours now.
What do you think guys?

yes Bana rightly said...........this reminds me of the song in Mohabattein...Humko humi se chura lo........kinda suits if a woman told those lines........but i did not think so deeply about it until Laila pointed it out here........🤣 that was rotfl Laila......Abhi indirectly saying he lost his virginity..........fell off my chair laughing......seeing the way he was still having that shirt, belt etc intact anything could happen with the way the sunshiners write their script.........
and Mesimi that was so beautifully put "A husband wife unison is a beautiful phase in every one's life. And it does carry its own sanctity when its done within a marriage. "👏

Thank you for taking the time out to figure out what was being said here. I think a lot of people didn't quite get the initial post. The opening sentence with Simi commenting about the thieves all leaving we got so MeSimi's answer we already had figured out. According to MeSimi there was no underlying meaning in that comment, but then again, MeSimi herself (and others) admit she did not pay attention to anything else that was said.
However, we (my group) wanted to know if we should take the sentence literally or does it have an underlying meaning i.e. is she referring to herself as a "thief" but in this case the answer was "no." Only Abhi referred to her as a thief because not only did she take his heart but he took everything from him after the supposed "mindblowing experience" he had with Simi that night. I think the comment is basically quite flattering for Simi considering the fact she made it virtually impossible for the poor guy to get any. His feelings for her are later reflected during the day when all he does is think of her.
I think those who make a mockery out of my question are just fixated on the fact they consumated the marriage and that's all that matters, screw the rest of the dialogue. For me, as an amateur writer, it does matter to me what is said aftewards as it does reflect a talent - how do you express something so intimate between two people by keeping it polished but at the same time expressing that something had taken place. Thus the use and understanding of "double meaning" of setences would be necessary. I think it just adds an extra element in the relationship and chemistry between these two characters.
Thanks for pondering the thought.

Glad so many including you liked my line of thought. I liked their 'morning after' conversation.
I personally like dialogues too because they give us a glimpse into their thoughts & feelings - even more important if the actors are not great at emoting! Of course in this case, Neil and Smriti are pretty good at emoting with expressions and small gestures (nod of head etc) and also dialogue delivery. If only the writers would make use of their skills with more interesting conversations that would allow us all to experience their amazing romance.

Bana you are absolutely correct. This is exactly what the conversation was relating to. In yesterdays episode you can clearly see that Abhi has lost control of his thoughts and peace especially when Simi was blessing him before taking off for 2 days. It was as if there were only the two of them in the room. Very well put and interpreted. They both are in love so of course their intimacy has taken the both of them to another level now. Absolutely loved the way you wrote your post. EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
