The Cv's should see this criteria and bring a change in the way the society can view this relationship and thus making Manju also agree to it !!

that is the best idea. But I heard in such marriages once they are marreid ppl leave them alone. But family members I am not sure.
I hope manju understadn that simi loves abhi and she got the best husband possible and forgive her.i am gadl RS objected everything. Manju is really messed up in her mind. To leave husband's room tha tis horrible. may be now simi is gone anita should give her hard time and make her cry every day then she will realize.

If everything is simply good for Simi she will never grow. I like that Manju doesn't agree. Of course I would like it to change, but without challenges, characters don't grow! Mark my words, Simi will have to become more confident.

Bee, you and I have had lively discussions in the CB forum and I was a frequent visitor to this forum but made a choice of remaining a silent forumer. I have watched the shows more than you may think and read at times when I couldn't watch.
Indian society in India has changed more than we imagine living in the US, and some of the reasoning for the difficulties faced by Simi and Abhi as an older woman, younger man just does not fit the mold. It was ridiculous for the neighhbors to protest on the aangan of Rajinder Sethi's home. Who do they think they are? Neetu can have pre-marital sex and get pregnant and it is more acceptable than Simi marrying Abhi? And Simi with her triple masters and quadruple PhDs cannot make lucid arguments or open her mouth to say she stands by her decision and that she is married? It is getting wierder and wierder. I understand sacrifices made for family better than acting silly, posing silly arguments. As you know I am such a feminist and at times the situations Simi finds herself in b/c she is KBian (lives in KB) borders on the ridiculous. You are right. Such arguments may dumb Simi and Abhi but they dumb the viewers more!

Gardes,
Thanks again for your honest views.

There are 2 things from you post, that I would like to put my views on -

1. Neetu's pre-marital sex and her family's reaction. What family you may ask? Yes no one in that household has a say other then Manju. So, this "society-caring" Manju, doesn't think Neetu needs a slap but Simi does because she took pheras with her lover. I too do not understand what kind of selective liberal views are those!

2.Neighbhor's throwing stone at RS' house. Even though such incidents anger me, I explained off in my episode review of 27th jan 10 and later as a reply to Shanti's comments in the thread My thoughts.

Yeah I too had problem with Simi dumb acts and kept okaying ... you know when you like a show and are emotionally attached you keep forgiving. At the same time one has to see the reality too. Simi waiting till Abhi's death to blurt out was too much. All those lousy blood and gore wasn't required for a normal middle-class living family. It was totally uncalled for and this happened because of the dumbness written for this character by writers.

I do agree there is lot of jibbersish. My biggest objection is changing and ruining almost all characters so soon and so rapidly. Like one day the character is saint and next it becomes shaitan.
But still I feel this serial has lot to offer compare to others. and yes it is my opnion so you don't have to agree with me.

Ramas, that is exactly what they did and ruined the story. They played with the characters, throwing them back and forth like a tennis ball to the point that I cannot tell which side is up! I started to lose interest. One day Manju does everything because it is Matarani's wish and the next day she pushes away the shagun that Mrs. Tarneja brings. A shagun is auspicious and .....it is okay to do that? Simi di has become one big cascading Niagra Falls! Sirf rona dhona! Neetu tires of abusing her, then Anuj starts and if he tires, Anita starts and then she passes Simi to Manju and by then Neetu is rested and ready to go at Simi again, if Nakul and parivaar haven't shown up yet! If all are tired, Bhalla is always on call in KB! Or the nosy neighbors!
I am sorry to carry on, but there has got to be some parallel story going on where Simi di gets respite and a few moments to wipe her tears and smile.

I totallly agree with you, this production house is very much possible for runing this show. Such bad direction, camera angle move from one place to another out of nowhere. Ad yes the screenplay is soo lousy, you can't even understand what has happened sometimes.

I feel soo sorry for the viewers who join to watch the show, they would be totally lost, with random dialgues here and there.

I hope this message get's to them!!

Thank you Gur.N.cool for your forthright comments.

Shoddy job in story, screenplay, dialogue, acting, direction and editing especially in the 100th episode was the problem for me too.

Thanks for feeling sorry as I am one such loyal viewer of this show and am writing this so that the message reaches them. I am sure there are a lot of people like me, whose voices are being constrainted.

Thanks Shanti for your views on what they should focus on for the future.
I hope they are listening to you too.
IMO, Manju is not a difficult person to deal with, I have dealt with much more difficult people, so if the creatives wants ideas they can come to me 😉😆

Thanks shankar. You are def bang on there. What is life without challenges. Life's experiences should always teach and make person more confident.

People like Manju aren't difficult to handle. They are uneducated, insecure people who think they can play with everyone's life, even her own husband's. They don't sit with peace looking for the happiness they have got, but are always hell bent on looking for the unknown wrongs, go crazy and make others in the house crazy too.

Simi should learn something from Abhi and his confidence. What is that education of hers useful for if she also acts like an uneducated fool as Manju? Yes, its time the creatives grow confidence in Simi and make her learn to deal with Manju.
