Sunshiners, looks like you were able to evoke enough interest to bring in viewers to watch your 100th episode. The influx of new writers on this forum and the print space in news media you have earned is a proof of that.

Given the limited dressing of KB characters especially the main leads, I must say, you might have had to pay through your nose to pay for the grand weddings and the screen time you had to buy from SBB/SBS and other such channels.

But what you finally created was a show with zilch production values. A badly copied script, lousy screenplay, tacky dialogues, shoddy direction, awful acting, poor editing, everything was so patchy and awkward at the end that I wish I can erase it from my memory!!

Oh you def managed to get high TRPs with the loads of viewers you got only to get mocked at. This article is a proof of that - Article:12/24 Karol Bagh: Action or comedy?
While you could create a comical show for some. For me it was totally an embarrassing episode.

For any production house reaching 100 episodes is a proud and successful moment. But IMO you managed to create something which I never would be proud of and I suggest you throw that 100th episode in the sea nearby - The Arabian.

I wish you had invested more in the script than in all the other things for you to get mocked at.

While you could provide a comical relief for some. I was sad the episode turned out so pathetic. Though some are one-time viewers, I was a regular view of this show and cared for this show. You degraded this show so much that I am both embarrassed and sad.

Never is too late, I wish you learn from this and pull up your socks before you are shown the door by the channel.

Bee, I understand your sentiments. I started watching this show because I could start with the first episode. I really liked Rajinder Sethi and Manju at start up but Manju's interest in getting her daughters married and abusing Simi just got to my liberated female sensibilities. But my sympathies continued for Simi too because of the same abuse. I followed the forum without participating because I could not handle 2 - CB and KB. The rationale for some of the things happening in the show is so ambiguous that I alternated between the written and watched show. At some point I really started losing the justifications for the torture of Simi's character altogether and her constant sacrifices that no one appreciated. And now I cannot even stand it if Manju - Mommy Dearest - is in any of the shots! I read the forum about the episode on Thursday and I could not bring myself to watch the episode. First base Bhalla and now holier than thou Nakul and his saintly grandmother. Neetu and her pregnancy was a time waster for me to eventually marry her off to Omi. Just a lot of jumble that makes no sense to me. I may not have the details as you would of the show but I sure know what I like and don't like and KB is not on my radar right now!

Check this link out by our moderator apparently you are not allowed to write anything negative about the show. You are only allowed to write about the "good things" in the show and if you don't see any you must lie and make them up or not say anything at all. This is not the first time it has happened; several months ago when I was critical of the storyline she put up a similar post saying that people had been complaining about my posts as negative and that I could not speak out against the show, I said what a lot of people are seeing now - their disappointment in the show. The goal is that you cannot speak out against the show if certain people like it and you have to see"good things" in the show even if they are not there.

Grades I ditto your post as well. The point that some people fail to see is how this show has lost all the good it once offered and these people are wading through the sewage looking for pieces of gold which don't exist. I could never even show this show to anyone without feeling deeply ashamed and embarassed as Zee has written. I am disgusted at my own self for actually watching this show. It is the unnessary ever-increasing sacrifices that are made by Simi that baffle me beyond belief.

Gardes,
Though you have watched this show sparingly, I appreciate you reading and replying with your honest comments.

I loved this love since I started watching and this show was really really beautiful. It was so different from the rest of the shows. After watching every episode it used to make me feel-good and light-hearted. Day by day the interest grew and I was just waiting for the next episode. I am sure a lot of viewers felt the same. This is how the show was from the start to mid-nov.

After mid-nov, the show started to fall. We the loyal viewers kept looking for the good things and continued with the show. But the good things started to become less and less with every episode or on the whole on a weekly basis.

This story was mainly about the lives of the 3 daughters of the Sethi Family who lived in 12/24 karol bagh along with the story of the people connected to them. Of the 3 daughters, the important story was of Simi, the eldest daughter who falls in love with a guy Abhi, younger to her by 8 years. I knew for certain Abhi and Simi would be married. They had to be, otherwise there was no reason to start a story with such a storyline.

But, in order to make them marry, was it required by the creatives to make Simi participate in bigamy (she had taken saat pheres with Abhi but was ready to marry Nakul!)? Also was RB a potential rapist of Simi, justified in rescuing Abhi? How reliable is a person RB who had in the past impregnated several girls? Simi and Abhi marriage happened just because RB arrived on time and rescued Abhi. What are the creatives trying to convey here? Its okay for guy who is supposed to be put behind bars to freely roam around and also that good people like Abhi & Simi do not have any option but to take help from habitual criminals? What message are the creatives trying to give here? Do they think viewers are that dumb? As much as I am disgusted about the creatives with this storyline, I am also disgusted at the people who are cheering this message sent out by the creatives. I am appalled at the intelligence, integrity and the ethics of such people.

Laila,
You are right, I hadn't read that post put up by our moderator. I had some questions regarding whats written in that. I tried to ask my questions there but I am not allowed to post a reply. So, I cannot ask you, because as you and I know you aren't the author of that post and I cannot start a separate thread just for that, lest it be called 'keep the discussion about the show' and closed.

Now I understand why though there were 70 views there was not a single response until the evening!

Though I know I cannot ask you, let me just give a try - Do you know whom it is direction-ed at? I do not have any doubts that it IS direction-ed at me. Because I know I haven't broken any of the codes listed out there as
1. this is not about entire KB episodes. This post is particularly of the 100th episode.
2. this post is not entirely negative. Those who understand the frustration I have will not see negativity in this post.
3. I have tonnes of positive posts to show for myself, when there were offensive words being used by other forumers for some of the characters.
4. I can identify several posts in the past and current when a lot of rules of IF and KB forum have been broken and action not taken.
5. This is no way an attack on IF/DT members or anyone in particular. No personal attack.

I didn't find any positive in the 100th episode and this is the 1st time that has happened to me since I started watching this show a few month back not missing a single one until now. The good thing is my fellow forumer opened a separate thread called 'Positive Aspects' to identify the positive points within the 100th episode and the ironical thing is there isn't even one identified as of now. What does that have to say about the positivity of the episode?

Bee, You are so right. Come to think of it, I don't fit that category either, so I wonder who it might be😲. Who is this person to whom our moderator should be referring too? I have not received any warnings. I try to say good things about the show but I also try to tell them about what is going on that disappoints me. So I really do wonder to whom is this post referring too? 😃

Thanks you, Laila. It became evident a long time ago that Simi's sacrifices have been fruitless. Anuj ditched her like a dirty dish rag as soon as he got married and stole from his father. Neetu, in spite of all that Simi tried to do for her turned unbearable vicious towards Simi. And Manju is a mother from "h double hockey sticks"! I would be a nut case if a mother like that reared me! The only redeeming character is Rajinder Sethi. He has remained steady. God bless him! I am through with the show. I did not bother on Thursday and not likely to revisit to see if anythiing has changed.

Bee, you and I have had lively discussions in the CB forum and I was a frequent visitor to this forum but made a choice of remaining a silent forumer. I have watched the shows more than you may think and read at times when I couldn't watch.
Indian society in India has changed more than we imagine living in the US, and some of the reasoning for the difficulties faced by Simi and Abhi as an older woman, younger man just does not fit the mold. It was ridiculous for the neighhbors to protest on the aangan of Rajinder Sethi's home. Who do they think they are? Neetu can have pre-marital sex and get pregnant and it is more acceptable than Simi marrying Abhi? And Simi with her triple masters and quadruple PhDs cannot make lucid arguments or open her mouth to say she stands by her decision and that she is married? It is getting wierder and wierder. I understand sacrifices made for family better than acting silly, posing silly arguments. As you know I am such a feminist and at times the situations Simi finds herself in b/c she is KBian (lives in KB) borders on the ridiculous. You are right. Such arguments may dumb Simi and Abhi but they dumb the viewers more!
