| I strongly recommend that someone from your station or Sunshine Productions spends some time reading these posts. Many of the people who post here are fans of the Simi-Abhi storyline but are very disappointed with how the story is progressing. First and foremost many of us feel that the writers rushed the love story and the declaration of love. It was too sudden. Second, there is no rationale in the story as to why Abhi loves Simi. What is the reason a 22 year old guy would fall for a 30 year old woman who has been rejected multiple times? The rationale given or suggested is she sacrficies herself for her family but it is this very behavior that he is speaks out against and what gets her into trouble time and time again. The writers have thus done very little to develop the reason for their love for each other. The age of Abhi also never made sense. Dropping his age from what appeared to be 24 to 22 was a big shock. But what made it worse was the sudden down sizing of Abhi's maturity level. During the earlier episodes Abhi was presented as strong and confident but now he is seen as weak, consistenly crying and acting like a kid. It's as if he had a whole other personality when he first met Simi. Plus someone has to dress the guy as a 22 year old and not a 12 year old kid. Guys who are 22 do not dress the way we have seen Abhi dress especially guys from wealthy families. It is also not odd for a guy to be 22 and look older than his age but instead the creative team have made Abhi look like a kid in a desperate attempt to make him look younger. Finally, what everyone does not like is the Simi's non stop disregard for Abhi and his love for her. Her recent rejection of Abhi in her effort to accept Nukul's proposal to please her family is ridiculous. No-one has any sympathies left for Simi. In fact audience members dislike her immensely for her actions. In the beginning people felt some sympathy for her plight but now, everyone is tired of her sacrifices. She had no reason to sacrifice herself this time. Why should she worry about her family's reputation if Neetu doesn't? Why consistently take on that responsiblity? What is even worse is to do this after declaring her love for Abhi in front of Matarani. If you swear before a God in which you believe that you love someone, to break your vow to that person is a horrible sin. If Simi justifies her sin then what are you teaching your audience? Deception and lies? As audience members we really want Abhi to walk out on Simi this time. We had hoped it would happen when Simi demeaned him in front of her father and sister, but instead Zeetv creative team graced us with the shockingly bad electrocution scene where Abhi had to prove his love for Simi. When do we get to see Simi prove her love for Abhi? We are sick of seeing Abhi getting treated like a doormat constantly getting Simi out of the mess she keeps digging herself into. It is getting dull, boring and repetitive. Now Simi plans to have her 3rd roka? In the begining this show was about a girl who couldn't even get a rishta and now she has three? What show are you guys writing? I think if you don't do something fast you are going to lose a lot of loyal audience members. Many of us are bored with the story and would like to see Abhi stand up for himself against his mistreatment by Simi. She does not appreciate or acknowledge anything he has done for her - the time he tried to get her out of the horrible marriage to RB, giving her 10,000 rupees for Neetu's abortion, getting her father's shop back, etc. All the time he gives to her and gets nothing in return. I seriously think you should pay attention to what is written and give us something better. |
