Laila,
I had posted my concern regarding the storyline in their feedback/response page of zeenetwork.
i had sent two mails on the same day. One was concern regarding the sad storyline and characterisation. The other was regarding nominating Neil for ZRA and activating online voting for Smriti.
I had also copy pasted the same in the Comments section of their webpage.
I am still waiting to see my comments on their page ( I had mailed this probably on 7th or 8th of this month) I feel they are filtering out comments and posting only what they feel like. Mostly the comments section includes only Waah-Waayi from people who post. And nothing against the show.
So I feel they do read but dont want to consider it. Well, thats what i understand.
I agree with MeSimi. None of my posts are ever out online.
When I was growing up, the BBC had a show called Points of View where viewers would write in about the shows. It was an amazing show as it promoted shows and got rid of bad ones and it actually helped make the programming better. All western countries have websites and feedback comments that are not censored. The imdb.com is an amazing website where writers frequest the comments left about their films and shows and they learn what is liked and what is not liked.
Consequently television programming and films in the west are always working towards doing something new - it's called getting constructive feedback.
What a lot of people don't realize that many of us who write here really liked KB. We fell in love with something new and original. We went on a journey with these characters and looked forward to being part of their lives and then suddenly the rug was pulled from underneath us. Some people hung in their and tried to remain positive, but some of us (like myself and a few others) were like, hold on here...and started expressing our viewpoints.
I do have to realize that these shows are written with others in mind. KB writers might have wanted to go one way, but the producers and Zeetv could have said "no" we need masala, drama etc. Sometimes writers are forced to "kill" the own characters that they have created for the sake of ratings. That's not fun at all.
We do know the writers need to get ratings, they need to get audience members in and they need to do something for it. What little did these people realize is that by creating rich characters like Abhi and Simi, people would come and watch without all the excess dishum dishum and Nukul drama.
