Pamela Anderson recently opened up about a terrifying mid-air ordeal during her appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. The 57-year-old Baywatch star recounted the chilling experience to host Josh Horowitz, revealing how a fellow passenger mistook her for a member of the country band The Chicks and attempted to attack her.
Anderson shared the unnerving incident while discussing her latest film, The Last Showgirl. “This one time, I was on a flight, and this guy came up to me and said, ‘Do you know what this country’s done for you?’” she recalled. The Hollywood veteran admitted she was baffled by the man's accusation, but before she could grasp the situation, it escalated.
The flight attendant's quick intervention prevented a potential tragedy. “And I was like, ‘Oh, my God. What have I done?’” Anderson said, adding, “The stewardess had to handcuff him to the chair because he was trying to attack me.”
The attacker had mistaken Anderson for a member of The Chicks, formerly known as the Dixie Chicks. Reflecting on the confusion, she noted, “Yeah. Ended up he thought I was a Dixie Chick. Remember that whole Dixie Chick thing?” Anderson was referring to the band's infamous criticism of the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003, which sparked nationwide backlash.
The incident left a lasting impact on Anderson, who admitted it made her apprehensive about flying. “I almost got killed on a plane,” she confessed. “I was scared to fly after that, a little bit.”
This chilling revelation offers a glimpse into the dangers celebrities can face, even in unexpected places like the skies.
