Sonu Sood faces an arrest warrant by Ludhiana court over a fraud case; actor skips summons

Bollywood actor Sonu Sood is facing an arrest warrant related to a Rs 10 lakh fraud case. As reported by the news agency ANI, the case was initiated by a Ludhiana-based lawyer, Rajesh Khanna, against one Mohit Shukla, who allegedly enticed him to invest in a fake Rijika coin.

Sood was summoned to appear in court but failed to show up, prompting Judicial Magistrate Ramanpreet Kaur to issue the arrest warrant.

Sonu Sood has been duly served with summon(s) or warrant(s) but he/she has failed to attend (absconds and keeps out of the way for the purpose of avoiding service of a summon(s) or warrant(s)). You are hereby ordered to arrest and bring the said Sonu Sood before the Court

"You are hereby directed to return this warrant on or before 10-02-2025 with an endorsement certifying the day on and the manner in which it has been executed, or the reason why it has not been executed," the order further read.

However, it should be mentioned that neither Sonu Sood nor his team has made any comments regarding the case or the arrest warrant.

Meanwhile, in terms of his work, Sonu Sood was recently featured in the film Fateh. This movie marks his directorial debut and also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Vijay Raaz, and Naseeruddin Shah in prominent roles.

Just days before the arrest warrant was issued, Sonu Sood met with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and donated four ambulances to enhance healthcare services in the state on Monday. The actor, known for his role in 'Fateh,' expressed his gratitude and respect to CM Naidu for his support and guidance to the Sood Charity Foundation as they strive to promote a healthier India.
