Sing Along with Sumeet Raghvan

Believe it or not, Sumeet Raghvan is busy singing these days! And not without a cause. He is part of NDTV Imagine's new reality show Say Shaava Shaava and is trying his best to ensure that his vocal chords don't betray him while facing the camera.

Apart from this, Sumeet is also excited for the two films which he has recently worked on -- Nandita Das's In Such Times(also starring Nasiruddin Shah and Om Puri) and U, Me Aur Hum(Ajay Devgan's directorial debut).

"It was like a dream come true for me to act with Nasiruddin Shah and Om Puri. In U, Me Aur Hum, I am playing the role of a doctor who has a funnier side hidden inside him. I can't divulge more on my role as I am bound by my contracts, but it is a very interesting character that I am portraying", says Sumeet. Sumeet has no regrets that the audience has accepted him in a comic genre. But then why is he not taking up any comic characters on the small screen of late? "Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai was a unique project for me. I still miss that show. Hope it will come back soon. One of the main reasons why I am not taking up any new comic roles on television is the lack of good scripts. But I do enjoy and have been working on multiple ad films," Sumeet explains with a smile. He has just finished shooting for an Asian Paints commercial.

Sumeet is married to fellow theatre actor Chinmayi and blessed with two children -- a 10 year-old boy and a 7 year-old daughter. Chinmayi is currently working in a Balaji Films production and playing the role Rajpal Yadav's wife.
