Sanjay Kapur's bizarre death swallowing a bee shocks Kangana Ranaut; actress wonders what's wrong with 2025

Indians will remember June 12 as one of the darkest days in history. Hours after 242 passengers died in the Air India plane crash, one of India’s automobile giants Sona Comastar lost their chairman, Sunjay Kapur. He died while playing polo in London. It seems he had swallowed a bee that got stuck in his windpipe. He left the ground feeling uneasy and fell down. It seems it was a cardiac arrest. People there tried to revive him but failed. A passionate polo player, Sunjay Kapur is known to many as the former husband of actress Karisma Kapoor, and fashion designer Nandita Mahtani.

Kangana Ranaut has reacted to the death of Sunjay Kapur terming it as a bizarre and unbelievable one. She felt the year 2025 was turning out to be rather cruel. Well, we had the terror attack in Pahalgam, Operation Sindoor, stampede in Maha Kumbh and now this. She is not alone. There are many who believe that 2025 is not a good year given the loss of lives.

"In another unbelievable event, Sunjay Kapoor (Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband) was on the polo ground, a bee went into his mouth (yes madhumakkhi on the polo ground) stung him and blocked his windpipe, he couldn't breathe so he asked the game to be stopped but immediately died of a cardiac arrest."

Hours back, Sunjay Kapur had posted his condolences on the plane crash that killed 242 people in India. People are shocked to know that he died within hours of that incident. He is survived by his family, wife Priya Sachdev, two sisters and three kids. Sunjay has a daughter, Samaira and son Kiaan from Karisma. Priya and he were blessed with a son Azarius. Last night, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Malaika Arora rushed to the home of Karisma Kapoor to offer support to the grieving family. It seems it will take time to bring back the body to India as he held US citizenship.
