Salman Khan's highly anticipated Eid release, "Sikandar," debuted in theaters on Sunday, marking his return to the silver screen after a two-year absence. Directed by AR Murugadoss and featuring Rashmika Mandanna, the film had generated significant buzz. While its initial box office earnings reached Rs 26 crore, which is below some of Salman's previous Eid blockbusters, the film still has the potential to attract more viewers in the coming days.
However, some have expressed concern about Khan's ability to perform action-packed sequences at his age. When asked about this, Khan revealed that he had broken every bone in his body two or three times during filming. While some might see this as a challenge, it's not a concern for him.
Salman Khan's "Sikandar" wasn't just a film release; it was an event. While many celebrated Eid on March 30th, 2025, for Salman Khan's fans, it was a day dedicated to their idol. The anticipation for "Sikandar" was palpable, and his devoted followers turned the weekend into a celebration of their "bhaijaan." While the action-thriller genre might appear effortless to his admirers, the reality was a testament to Khan's dedication and resilience, as he pushed his limits to deliver a thrilling cinematic experience.
During the press conference held prior to the film's release, Salman revealed, “Every bone of my body has been broken twice or thrice. Every ligament has been torn 2-3 times.” Khan also revealed that there was no time for rest during filming. He admitted that if the film hadn't required so many body shots, he could have easily slimmed down within a couple of weeks.
Khan further emphasized to the media that his physique wasn't a significant concern. "People make an issue out of this, but it's not an issue for me," divulged the Dabangg actor, adding that he possesses a six-pack even when he's not lean, and his muscles are so large that even with some fat, they remain prominent. He concluded by posing a question: "If one gets a six-pack but weighs only 55 kg, then what's the point?"
