Ruchika Rajput has been seen in innumerable episodic shows and this time, she will be seen in Life OK's Shapath - Super Cops v/s Super Villains in an unconventional role.

Ruchika will be seen essaying the role of a young innocent happy-go-lucky girl, Sameera, who will be a prime suspect in a horror mystery of a place named 'Jauhar Kund'.

Historically, Jauhar was an act of self-immolation where women jumped to death in a huge fire bowl, known as Jauhar Kund. This was much on the lines of Sati, but Jauhar was practiced only by Rajput women. If legends are to be believed, the Rajputs had little trust that the Mughals would respectfully cremate them after death. The women decided to burn themselves instead of burial as per Mughal practice.

Shedding some light over being roped in for the show, Ruchika said, "This is the first time that I am doing Shapath, but I share a long association with Fireworks Productions. I have done innumerable episodes of CID in the past and it feels great to carry the association ahead with Shapath - Super Cops v/s Super Villains. The subject of Jauhar is exciting and I hope to do more of such unique episodes in future."

This episode will telecast on August 7!
