Rhea Chakraborty pays visit to Siddhivinayak temple after clean chit in beau Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case

Rhea Chakraborty was accused of abetting the late Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide, found herself in troubled waters and was also sent behind the bars for the same a few years ago. While the actress was later on released on bail, the trial was still ongoing. Well, Rhea recently received a clean chit by the CBI on the same as the CBI announced the closure of the case, ruling out theories of the actor being murdered.

A day later, Rhea, along with her family was spotted paying her visit to the Siddhivinayak temple located in Dadar, Mumbai. The actress, clad in a pastel anarkali suit was spotted with her father and her brother Showik Chakraborty, who has also been freed from all the charges against him. As she visited the temple with her father and brother today, the actress striked a pose for the paparazzi present at the temple.

For the uninformed, Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on the 14th of June, 2020 after committing suicide in his Bandra house. Rhea, who was in a relationship with the late actor, was accused of drugging him and abetting his suicide and was arrested for the latter by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in 2020. She was however granted bail later.

Lauding the CBI's decision, Rhea's lawyer Manshinde and a few popular faces from the entertainment industry have slammed the media and social media trial the actress had to undergo. While her lawyer called the theories totally 'uncalled for,' actress Dia Mirza slammed the 'witch hunt' and demanded an apology by the media for accusing the actress of abetting the late Sushant Singh Rajput's death.
