Chhichhore director Nitesh Tiwari picks Rajkumar Hirani to direct the late Sushant Singh Rajput starrer

Amidst welcoming renowned guests from the entertainment industry, The National Award winner filmmaker, Nitesh Tiwari recently featured in Komal Nahta’s Game Changers podcast. In the podcast Nitesh shed light on his journey from IIT to becoming a filmmaker. The director spoke about the struggles and challenges he faced in making a film like Chillar Party and how he had to convince Aamir Khan to play the role of a father of two daughters in the massive hit, Dangal.

In the rapid fire round Nitesh was asked, If he had to pick one of these filmmakers to direct Chhichhore, who would it be- Ashwini Iyer Tiwari or Rajkumar Hirani?

The filmmaker within a split second answered by saying “Rajkumar Hirani sir”. Nitesh Tiwari has been very vocal of his admiration for the widely loved filmmaker, Rajkumari Hirani. Nitesh has expressed his love for the films directed by Rajkumar Hirani on multiple occasions and the Game Changers podcast is an example of the same.

On the podcast, Nitesh Tiwari spoke at great length about his journey of directing films like Dangal starring Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanaya Irani and Chhichhore starring Shraddha Kapoor and the late Sushant Singh Rajput, both of which went on to become massive blockbusters. Nitesh Tiwari also spoke about how as an industry they can empower the writers and give more credit to technicians like the editor of the film.
