In the past few days, actress Rhea Chakraborty had filed a plea to seek permission to travel abroad. Rhea Chakraborty is accorded permission to travel overseas by a special court under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act on Wednesday (June 1).
She had requested permission to fly to Abu Dhabi this week for the IIFA awards. In connection with actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death, the actress was implicated in a narcotics case. Between June 2 and 5, 2022, she will visit Abu Dhabi. The investigating officer in her case was also ordered to hand over the actress' passport by the court.
Chakraborty said in her petition, filed through lawyer Nikhil Maneshinde, that she needed to travel for four days to attend the IIFA awards since she had been invited by the director and co-founder of the organization to walk the green carpet and present an award on June 3. Chakraborty also has to host a discussion the next day during the main ceremony. As a result, she requested the return of her passport as well as authorization to travel internationally.
Rhea Chakraborty went on to say that she had only received the invitation on May 25. Her application said that she has been to court on a regular basis and that her travel will not effect the next hearing. During her stay in Abu Dhabi, the court also ordered her to register at the Indian consulate.
The application was granted by Special Judge AA Joglekar, who also ordered the actress to return by June 6 and register her attendance with the investigating officer. On her return, she will have to hand over her passport to the investigating officer. Not only that, but she must also make a cash deposit of Rs 1,00,000 with the court's registry.

Why is she still being hounded like this? It has been a long while since the Sushant case, and there is no evidence against her for his murder, just like in the Aryan case. Funnily, unlike AK on the ship, she wasn’t even on the crime scene when Sushant died.. But she still gets treated like a criminal and has to move the court to earn a living. This is just sad 😞
