Bollywood star Ranveer Singh recently attended the 2023 Premier League Hall of Fame, where he mingled with legends of the football world. He shared a picture on Instagram featuring himself standing alongside iconic figures such as Peter Schmeichel, Rio Ferdinand, Arsene Wenger, and Peter Cech. The actor also met with fellow "gooner" and Hollywood star Idris Elba at the London-based event, and expressed his joy at meeting a fellow Arsenal fan.
As an ambassador for the English Premier League in India, Ranveer attended the sell-out match between Arsenal and Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium, where he showed his support for the players and the sport in general. He shared an Instagram story with a photo of the stadium, captioned "The Glorious Emirates Stadium! Home of the Gunners! @pIforindia @premierleague #ARSCHE." He also posted a photo with British-Somali long-distance runner Mohamed Farah, expressing his delight at spending time with the athlete.
Ranveer's partnership with the Premier League involves him serving as an ambassador to help promote the sport in India. The actor expressed his gratitude for the role, saying, "I am honoured to take on an ambassador role with the Premier League. I look forward to sharing my passion for football and hope to help develop and grow the fan base of the sport in India."
In terms of his acting career, Ranveer's most recent film, Cirkus, failed to make an impact at the box office. He is now gearing up for his next project, Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, which will see him star alongside Alia Bhatt. The film marks the duo's second on-screen collaboration since the smash hit Gully Boy, and also features Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan, and Dharmendra in pivotal roles.
