Ranveer Singh is one of the film industry's most talented and promising actors. He made his Bollywood debut in 2010 with the romantic comedy Band Baaja Baaraat, and since then, he has never looked back. The actor has appeared in films such as Bajirao Mastani (2015), Padmaavat (2018), Gully Boy (2019), and many others. In a recent interview with Film Companion, the actor discussed the sequel to his hit action film, Simmba, directed by Rohit Shetty.
Ranveer said that if there will be no sequel to Simmba, he will be very disappointed because the film deserves a sequel. Talking about the same, he said Simbaa is one of his favourite characters, and it was always intended to be a franchise. He will be there whenever Rohit Shetty calls. So there will be Simmba 2, which is one of his favourite films and one of his favourite performances. Singh stated that he loves it, and he intends to carry it out.
Furthermore, the actor stated that Simmba was extremely difficult. He said, “you're dealing with a serious subject. You're still this larger-than-life colourful goofball in the first half of the film, but then you switch over and become that guy who stands up and pitches those dramatic scenes."
Ranveer mentioned that it was difficult to construct the performance, the goofiness, the seriousness, and still make it a cohesive and effective performance. He also stated that if pressed, he would rank Simmba as his highest-rated film.
Meanwhile, the actor is preparing for the release of Jayeshbhai Jordaar, which will be released in theatres on May 13. Cirkus, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, and the Hindi remake of Anniyan are also in the works for the actor.
