In 2008, Purab Kohli's pillar performance in Rock On not only delighted all the headbangers in the house, but also made people take notice of him as a talented actor beyond the impromptu VJ skills, and a very good looking one at that. Of course, the success journey did start off with telly world.

And if anyone missed Purab's golden stint on small screen, then a chance for redemption is here. Because Purab is returning to television, thanks to his new job as Sa Re Ga Ma Pa's host, on Zee TV! A successor at that to the likes of B-town fellas Sonu Nigam, Shaan and Aditya Narayan. Replacing the latter for this spot in the 2010 season, one can only say about these two actors that they are in a swapping roles around a little bit - Purab's making some telly time from his current movie schedules while Aditya is finding himself a firm foot hold as an actor in tinsel town.

SRGMP has been testimony to what success a change can bring - with every new face brought in to host season after season of this musical reality show on Zee, the TRP's having only ever soared higher, and Purab sure will be wishing to make no exception to that particular rule! Additionally, there's that upcoming release of his to lok forward to, titled Josh-E-Jawaani! And so we say, Purab ki toh nikal padi!

With bated breaths, we await Purab's new venture, and hope for a bigger, better season of SRGMP!
