Priyanka Chopra took to social media to urge help for Ukraine amid Russian invasion

Priyanka Chopra has spoken up on the ongoing Ukraine situation, which has thrown the lives of innocent Ukrainians into disarray. She has described the situation as "terrifying" and has pleaded for intervention on behalf of Unicef. Priyanka uploaded a video of a news report on the situation in Russia-invaded Ukraine, demonstrating how residents have converted subway stations into underground shelters to be alive throughout the conflict. 

The actress wrote, “The situation unfolding in Ukraine is terrifying. Innocent people living in fear for their lives and the lives of their loved ones, while trying to navigate the uncertainty of the immediate future. It’s difficult to comprehend how in the modern world this could escalate to such a catastrophic point, but this is a consequential moment that will reverberate around the world.”

In the early hours of Thursday, Russia launched a military campaign against Ukraine. In a shocking televised address, Russian President Vladimir Putin made the news. As explosions and gunfire rocked major cities, an estimated 100,000 people fled.
