Priyanka Chopra Jonas reveals Malti Marie’s adorable nicknames for Jonas Brothers

While Priyanka Chopra Jonas travels the globe to promote her new film Heads of State, her daughter Malti Marie is the real boss at home. On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on June 19, the actress shared adorable stories about her 3-year-old daughter and her developing personality.

Promoting her Prime Video action comedy Heads of State, Chopra Jonas shared that Malti has a strong taste in music. "[Bruno Mars and Rosé’s] ‘APT’ is her favourite song, by the way," she told Fallon, smiling. However, what caught fans’ attention was the hilarious nickname Malti created for her father Nick Jonas’ band. “She doesn’t identify them, but she calls them the Donut Brothers," Priyanka laughed.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas and her husband, Nick Jonas, welcomed Malti via surrogate in January 2022. Since then, both have been open about their parenting experiences. In a 2023 Elle interview, Priyanka admitted. “I don’t even know how I’ll ever discipline her because I just don’t have it in me… I was so close to losing her so many times that she can get away with anything, and I just want to see her happy."

Nick also discussed Malti’s busy schedule on Live with Kelly and Mark. “She’s in nursery school here in New York. She’s got her little friend group… These toddler schedules are way more intense than mine," he joked.

While soccer wasn't a success, karate certainly is. Nick shared that Malti "is really into karate. They get in their outfits and just say, ‘hi-ya’ — but she’s loving it," highlighting how much he appreciates Malti's stable environment and friendships.

Even with her A-list status, Chopra Jonas has often acknowledged the emotional challenges of motherhood. “Every single day you worry about what you can do wrong… But I look at her smile, and I’m like, ‘Okay, I’m doing good so far.’ It’s the greatest thing I’ve ever done, but it’s extremely scary," she told PEOPLE.

Priyanka recently delighted fans with glimpses of their fun day at Disney World on Instagram Stories. A particularly heartwarming video showed Malti walking hand-in-hand with a friend before meeting Mickey Mouse. However, the highlight was undoubtedly her first roller coaster ride. Sharing a video of the experience, Priyanka proudly wrote, “MM’s first roller coaster ride. We went four times. My girl!"

Priyanka is presently promoting Heads of State, starring Idris Elba and John Cena, with a release date set for Prime Video on July 2, 2025.
