Priyanka Chopra gets candid about her botched nose surgery and how it drove her into a 'dark phase' in her life. In a recent interview, the actor spoke about the surgery she underwent after winning the Miss World crown in 2000, which left her with a collapsed nose and caused her to be fired from three different films.

Priyanka spoke about the surgery, revealing how a doctor had suggested removing a polyp in her nasal cavity to treat her breathing problems. However, the surgery went wrong, and her nose collapsed, leading to a change in her appearance, which left her feeling deeply depressed and fearing the end of her acting career.

Priyanka also opened up about how her late father, who was a doctor in the Indian Army, encouraged her to undergo corrective surgery despite her fears. She recalled how her dad had promised to be in the room with her during the procedure. Priyanka also credited director Anil Sharma for giving her work despite everything, who directed her first Hindi film, The Hero: Love Story of a Spy (2003).

In her memoir, 'Unfinished', Priyanka had previously shared how the botched surgery had affected her self-esteem and how she was encouraged to get more cosmetic procedures to boost her career. Despite the challenges, the actor persevered and continued to work hard in the industry, building a successful career in Bollywood and Hollywood.

Priyanka has been making headlines recently for her appearances at the Met Gala 2023 and the premiere of her Hollywood film Love Again, which she attended with her co-star Sam Heughan.
