Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor starrer Ki & Ka was released in 2016. It was a one-of-a-kind movie, the first one in Bollywood to show something about gender stereotypes and role reversals in a light-hearted romantic manner. While the film did not appeal to many and also flunked at the box office, it did strike a chord with others who felt that the message was important and needed to be addressed to the masses. Many called the film' way ahead of its time' and also felt that it questioned the lifestyle of almost more than half of Indian housewives.

With this fun banter, Arjun Kapoor's caption has made quite a stir on social media. It read, -Siri, Alexa, ChatGPT… sab aaye, par 'Ka' ka koi replacement nahi mila! 🤷♂️💪 ‘Ki & Ka 2’ ke baare mein kya khayal hai?
Well, this caption got fans all excited as they think Kapoor just teased a sequel to the film, and if it's somewhere in the making, one cannot see how things have changed after 9 years and how we as a country have grown with role reversals and breaking gender stereotypes.

Ki & Ka (2016) was a refreshing take on gender roles in Indian society, directed by R. Balki. The film starred Arjun Kapoor as Kabir, a homemaker by choice, and Kareena Kapoor Khan as Kia, a career-driven woman, flipping traditional gender expectations. Produced by R. Balki, Sunil Lulla, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, and others, the movie challenged stereotypes about masculinity, domestic roles, and professional ambitions. Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan also made memorable cameos.
Today, with more conversations about equality and changing family dynamics, a sequel could explore how far we’ve come in accepting these roles. Lets wait and watch!
