Two Much Ep 7 Review: When Even Farah Khan Can’t Save the Show, You Know It’s a Problem

Episode seven of Too Much With Kajol and Twinkle brings Farah Khan and Ananya Panday together, but the chat never finds its rhythm.

Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle Review

Some episodes arrive with the confidence of a firecracker and then sputter like damp matchsticks. Episode seven of Too Much With Kajol and Twinkle falls squarely in that bucket. On paper, it had all the ingredients for a spicy chat-show feast with Farah and Ananya. Instead, the episode drifts like a balloon that lost its helium halfway.

The episode kicks off with another mandatory “food segment,” which usually lands somewhere between funny and forced. Surprisingly, this time it actually works, for two minutes. Guests pull out random snacks and assign celebrity names to them A breadstick for Karan Johar because “he should eat it", is what Farah feels. Ranbir Kapoor as chutney because he adds “extra spice to everything.” Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh to a vada pav with a green chilli, separate but inseparable.

Farah & Ananya: A Bond That Exists… Apparently

Kajol shifts gears into the “couch conversation” segment, which has all the pacing of a slow WiFi connection. Yes, Farah and Ananya share a sweet rapport. Yes, Farah claims Ananya could have been her daughter because she once had a huge crush on Chunky Panday. Cute anecdote, mildly chaotic mental picture, but it doesn’t lead anywhere interesting.

Then comes the dance-school trauma thread, a typical Farah Khan classic. She jokes about how Bhumi and Ananya should’ve arrived on set with IV drips because rehearsals drained them so much. It’s vintage Farah, but even that spark dims fast because the show keeps cutting to unrelated topics with zero transition. One second we’re talking about childhood crushes, and the next we’re at Himesh Reshammiya buying movie tickets for Farah. The chaos isn’t fun. It’s simply disjointed.

Kajol’s Questioning: A Symphony of Stumbles and Twinkle’s Affair Antenna

Let’s talk about Kajol for a moment. She has the enthusiasm of a host who wants to drive a talk show, but her questions land like she’s reading them for the first time. They wobble, they ramble, they fall apart mid-sentence, and then she tries to stitch them back together like a frantic tailor.

At one point, she accidentally implies that being launched by Dharma was a setback for Ananya, then panics and backtracks. The awkwardness is so sharp it could slice through the studio walls. The larger issue? The show can’t seem to let go of the “Nepo baby” narrative. We get it, Ananya has discussed it everywhere. Audiences have heard it a thousand times. Even she looks tired of this track. This episode feels stuck in a time capsule that no one asked for.

The running theme of the episode, oddly, becomes “affairs.” Every time the topic pops up, Twinkle jumps in like it’s her personal alarm clock. Older people hide them better. Younger people mess them up. Sets encourage them because everyone’s bored. Twinkle responds to all of this with such aggressive agreement that you want someone to pass her a handheld mic and let her vent in peace. It’s funny for one second, then slightly uncomfortable for the next five.

The Women, The Wisdom, The Weirdness

There’s a brief, half-hearted attempt to discuss whether women are heard in today’s world. The question is noble, the answers are not. Farah casually declares that young people use “mental health” as a handy excuse. Ananya tries to add something thoughtful, but somehow floats into Instagram caption territory. The conversation wants to be meaningful. Instead, it’s that friend who starts a serious topic at 3 a.m. but loses the plot midway.

We also get Farah’s “strangest experiences” in the film world, which turn out to be… surprisingly normal. It’s almost disappointing to learn nothing bizarre ever happened to her. If Farah Khan isn’t bringing the scandal, who will? Then we get detours into Tees Maar Khan, a random mention of a sequel, and Ananya auditioning for it in real time. It’s unintentionally hilarious but not for the right reasons. Followed by hold your breath, a jiving session between Kajol and Farah. A little nostalgia, a lot of second-hand embarrassment.

A Seasoned Crew, A Stale Episode

Just when you think the show is done, it throws one more curveball: a miniature car race using remote-controlled toy cars. What stings most is that the episode isn’t offensively bad. It’s just painfully outdated. Ananya has moved on in her career. Farah has many better stories. Kajol and Twinkle can be terrific conversationalists when they’re not elbowed into strange scripts. But the show feels trapped in an old diary, same questions, same jokes, same controversies. Nothing breathes. Nothing surprises. The episode wants to be spicy, but the masala has clearly expired.

The Final Word

Episode seven had flashes of fun but never found its soul. It bounced from one topic to another like a channel-surfing toddler. Even with personalities as colourful as Farah Khan and Ananya Panday, the conversations stayed shallow, repetitive, and weirdly stuck in the past.

By the time the toy cars finished their race, you’re just relieved the episode did too.

If this show wants longevity, it needs fresher ideas, sharper flow, and hosts who feel prepared instead of perplexed.

TL;DR

Episode seven of Too Much With Kajol and Twinkle brings Farah Khan and Ananya Panday together, but the chat never finds its rhythm. The food bit amuses briefly, then the episode slips into awkward questions, stale “nepo” talk, random segues and an endless obsession with affairs. Even Farah’s humour can’t rescue the messy flow, and the toy-car finale seals it as an oddly scattered, outdated watch.
