Two Much Ep 8 Review: Thanks to Vicky Kaushal & Kriti, the show gets a not-so-bitter end

It’s the last episode of 'Two Much with Kajol & Twinkle' and this time, the set feels lighter, like the calm chaos of a good Sunday brunch. Twinkle opens with her signature sass: “I don’t think the world was ready for us together' and that's when you find telling yourself- that yes, it surely wasn't, and it won't be if you all continue with the self-sabotage' marriage and relationship quips. It’s cheeky, self-aware, and a little too real.

The finale brings together Vicky Kaushal and Kriti Sanon, a duo we hadn’t seen share screen space before, but who bring a surprising warmth to the room. There’s no forced laughter or fake niceties, just an easy flow of conversation… until Kajol and Twinkle decide to throw in a few curveballs.

When the Flow Gets Interrupted

The show kicks off with an oddly placed “let’s jump into the questions!” moment, almost too soon, especially when everyone’s mid-laughter. It’s the kind of abrupt cut that makes you wish they’d let the chat breathe a little more. Because honestly, watching Vicky and Kriti casually banter with Twinkle and Kajol could have been entertainment enough.

But once the questions roll, things get lively. Kajol dives right in, asking about the trend of actors turning entrepreneurs. Vicky, ever the gentleman, admits that while he hasn’t reached that stage, his wife Katrina Kaif has the sharpest business mind he knows. It’s an honest and slightly adorable admission, one that earns him a collective aww from the couch and probably millions watching at home.

Kriti, on the other hand, shares about her journey with skincare and her brand. Twinkle also slips in the producer bit with Do Patti, joking about how Kajol was technically her employee.

Of Heels, Height, and Hilarious Honesty

Kajol, being Kajol, doesn’t let Kriti’s six-foot frame pass unnoticed. She recalls how she had to stack up on “Kriti heels”, basically double layers to match up on screen. And then there’s that gem of a line about older films where taller actresses were made to stand in pits while shorter heroes stood on platforms. “I never did that,” Kajol laughs, “but the platform was always there.” Kriti’s quick wit lands a winner, “Why not just use a patla then?” To which Twinkle deadpans, “Their egos can’t take that.” It’s silly, spontaneous, and exactly what you’d expect from this quartet.

The tone softens when the conversation moves to family. Vicky talks about how his parents keep him grounded, reminding him to stay grateful no matter how far he’s come. It’s one of those moments where his humility feels effortlessly charming. Kriti agrees, adding how her parents still prefer a “simple life,” no matter the red carpets.

But the nostalgia doesn’t stop there. Vicky tells a delightful story about visiting the Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai set as a kid and realizing just how “boring” acting looked back then. Kriti adds her own fangirl confession: Hrithik was the only poster on her wall growing up. When asked about her current crush, she dodges neatly with a “He’s not from the industry".

The Green Flag Brigade

The “green flag” question becomes the highlight. Vicky claims he’s working towards being a “green forest” or maybe a “green universe”, his charm making even the silliest exaggerations sound sincere. Then he shares the story of how he first met Katrina, who was introduced backstage at an award show by Sunil Grover. She had been giving him calm-down advice… not realizing he’d already hosted the show and was perfectly fine. That irony sends everyone into splits.

Kriti’s definition of a green flag man, honesty and respect, earns nods from all, especially Twinkle, who jumps in with her classic quip about how men start treating you like “purana maal” once the honeymoon phase ends. She really can’t help herself, can she?

Kriti follows it up with her mother’s wisdom, “Pyaar wyaar kuch nahi hota, sirf hormones hota hai.” Twinkle bursts into agreement. Somewhere, the internet is already clipping that moment for reels.

Marriage, Money, and the “Renewal Clause”

If you thought the fun stopped there, Kajol makes sure it doesn’t. When the question of “Should marriage have an expiry date?” comes up, Twinkle surprisingly takes the traditional route: “It’s a marriage, not a washing machine.” Kajol, though, believes there should be an exit clause if things don’t work out. And that’s the sound of tomorrow’s headline writing itself. Kajol and Twinkle casually drop that they shared an ex once, leaving everyone hanging on the name.

By the time they circle back to the topic of marriage as society’s “checkpoint” for women, you can feel the shift in tone. The debate is important but familiar. Once again, it lands on the same predictable note, things have changed, but not completely. The kind of conclusion that feels true, yet tired.

The Quirky New Segment That Saved It

Thankfully, the mood picks up with a new “spicy anecdotes” game. Vicky’s Uri story about accidentally recording himself on a GoPro (in the wrong moments, no less) is peak comedy. “The director has footage that can ruin my career,” he jokes, “so I can never say no to his films again.”

Kriti’s haunted hotel story from Dilwale is mild but endearing, even if she’s clearly playing it safe. Somewhere between the ghosts, giggles, and gossip, she slips in a clarification: she’s not getting married this year, thank you very much.

The Last Laugh

The episode winds down with the “blender game” and a few more heartwarming stories, especially Vicky talking about Katrina’s love for Punjabi music and that adorable incident where she mistook a gangster song for a romantic one.

The finale ends not with fireworks but with a comfortable warmth. The conversations may have wobbled between deep and downright ridiculous, but Vicky’s easy charm carried it through. Kajol might grab the headlines for her “expiry date” comment, and Kriti might be remembered for her calm composure, but it’s Vicky who walks away with the trophy for being the show’s final (and finest) highlight.

Because in a season that sometimes tried too hard to be smart, this episode reminded us that honesty, laughter, and a little chaos are still the best conversation starters.
