Jhanak's Poorva Gokhale cites 'No creative satisfaction' reason behind QUITTING show: 'Shrishti was vicious'

Poorva Gokhale, who essays the character of Shrishti, Arshi's (Chandni Sharma) mother in Jhanak is all set to quit the show. The actress, who replaced the late Dolly Sohi in the show, cites lack of creative satisfaction as a reason behind calling it quits.

Addressing the same, in a conversation with Times Of India, Poorva calls quitting Jhanak a 'mutual decision' between her and the makers of the show. ''It was a mutual decision after I spoke with the makers about my wish to bid adieu to the show. It has been one year of playing Srishti Mukherjee and for the past few months I had been wanting to do more but creatively my character was not growing so I decided to move out. The makers also tried but eventually they supported my decision,'' says Poorva.

The actress further states that even though her character Shrishti was 'vicious,' she still felt a certain level of softness when it came to her elder daughter Arshi. ''The scenes where I was showing a lot of protection and love for my daughter Arshi (Chandni Sharma) in the show are very close to me. It brought out the real mom in me. In real life I am a mother of two daughters so inspite of my character being vicious, I felt that it had a certain softness and motherly care when it came to her first daughter Arshi,'' Poorva revealed.
