Tanmay Nagar Joins Jhanak, plays Megha Chakraborty’s step-son Yash

Actor Tanmay Nagar, last seen in the show Pushpa Impossible, has joined the cast of the popular TV show Jhanak. In Pushpa Impossible, he played the negative role of Arjun Shekhawat. Now, in Jhanak, Tanmay will be seen playing a challenging new character named Yash.

Speaking about his new role, Tanmay shared, “I’m excited to be part of Jhanak. I will be playing Yash, who is Ishani’s (Megha Chakraborty) step-son. Yash is a very emotional and angry young man who does not hide his feelings. He openly disrespects Ishani and refuses to accept her as part of his family.”

Tanmay further explained that Yash’s anger comes from the belief that his father has replaced his late mother with Ishani. “He feels his father has forgotten his real mother and has moved on with Ishani, which he cannot tolerate. He refuses to stay silent about it and expresses his resentment openly, even if it hurts people.”

According to Tanmay, Yash makes his disapproval very clear. “He talks back to Ishani and insults her in front of everyone. He wants her to know that she is not welcome in their home. His anger is very direct, and he doesn’t care about what others think or say.”

Adding more trouble for Ishani, Yash’s girlfriend, Ankita (played by Sneha Bhawsar), supports him in making life difficult for her. Tanmay said, “Ankita joins Yash in his efforts to humiliate Ishani. They both treat her badly and constantly make fun of her. Yash is not afraid of arguments or causing drama—he will do anything to drive Ishani out of his life.”

The introduction of Yash brings a new layer of conflict and tension to the storyline, especially after the show’s recent leap. Tanmay mentioned, “Yash becomes a major reason why Ishani’s journey becomes so challenging after the leap. His character brings a lot of emotional drama and is central to the upcoming episodes.”

Tanmay Nagar has previously appeared in several TV shows and web series, including Gunaah, Chikoo Ki Mummy Durr Kei, and Ek Mahanayak: Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. His new role in Jhanak promises to add an intense twist to the show’s evolving story.
