Jhanak's Chandni Sharma opens up on being CHEATED ON like Arshi: 'Have not seen mature relationships'

Chandni Sharma, who essays the character of Arshi in star Plus' Jhanak recently got in an exclusive chat with India Forums and opened up on the flawed story line of the show. The actress also reveals being cheated on in real life and speaks about forgiving the other person.

We asked Chandni if like Arshi, she ever had a 'Jhanak' in her life and if she was cheated on and the actress said, ''Yes, Of course I have been cheated on. I have never seen mature relationships to be honest. But as women, we do tend to forgive right? It is your call though, I mean, what I really believe in is that if the guy is genuinely sorry about his actions then you should give him a chance and forgive him but if he thinks he has done nothing wrong and you do not see that guilt in his actions, then you should never forgive. Par agar aap ko lagta hai ke wo companion acha hai, toh maaf kar dena chaiye.''

Earlier speaking about her character going from a strong, career oriented woman to someone who is obsessed over a man, Chandni says, ''Arshi's character in Jhanak started off as a really strong character and I liked it that way. She was a strong woman. Yes, she was always obsessed with her fiance and I think that is fine. But you tell me one thing, where is she wrong? Like her own sister and her fiance betray her. She is engaged to a boy and cut to she comes to know that her sister gets married to him. How will Arshi react? Jo log mujhse kehte hai ke main apne character ko justify karti hoon, main chahungi aap sab ki life mein bhi ek Jhanak aaye, phir aapko pata chalega ke kaisa lagta hai.''

For the uninformed, Jhanak was about to undergo a generation leap, post which, Hiba Nawab, Chandni Sharma, Krushal Ahuja and the remaining cast of the show was about to call it quits. However, this decision was changed overnight considering the upcoming IPL season and the leap was put on hold.
