With only five contestants left in the fray Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa – Dancing with the Stars has begun its countdown. The contestants are getting more aggressive and rehearsals are on in full swing. The camaraderie is giving way into a no-holds-barred competition. And to watch all the action live there were as many celebrity guests as there were contestants!

The star cast of Dus Kahaniyan dropped in to lend support and enjoy the performances of the contestants in the fray . Dia Mirza joined Director Sanjay Gupta, Shabana Azmi along with Dino Morea, Masumi Udeshi. Host Rohit Roy also makes his debut as director (one of the ten stories) with Dus Kahaniyan, an experimental film that tells ten cinematic tales.

In the presence of so many celebrities, the contestants turned out their best ever performances. Is it any surprise then that full marks were scored a record five times on the show with Sandhya Mridul and her highly talented partner Javed getting full marks for both performances? No denying that she deserved it for her scintillating moves!

Prachi Desai in her new avatar, as a sexy seductress, simply had everybody asking for more. Keeping up with her on the scores was Jay Bhanushali who had a field day trying to impress all the women in sight, without losing sight of the job in hand. He did in superman style! Sonali Kulkarni is obviously in no mood to give up on the competition. Her partner Toby will not let her give up so easily, so the duo's version of choli ke peeche… is worth waiting for. Mir Ranjan Negi may seem like the weak link at this point, but his never-say-die-spirit has not let him down as yet…After Bipasha Basu confessing that she came to the show only to see him live in action, it was Dia Mirza's turn to reserve a special kiss only for him. He has definitely proved to be one of the most popular contestants on the show!

True to his style Jay did not miss an opportunity to dance with Masumi, while the equally spirited Prachi invited Dino Morea to shake a leg with her. Only she wasn't prepared for the near strip tease that Dino had in mind!

The viewers will witness great performances, greater entertainment and simply exhilarating company in the Gala this week. Urmila Matondkar and Jeetendra seemed more than happy and relieved to see Shiamak Davar back to where he belongs – on the judges' chair!

Stay tuned to the coming Gala which is laced with a delightful array of stars and some electrifying performances on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa -- Dancing with the Stars on Friday November 30th at 9.00 p.m. only on Sony Entertainment Television.

memsaab @memsaab 16 years ago I was watching the promo yesterday Prachi dancing Hawa Hawai and Sandhya doing Mehboob Mere.. Sandhya looked sooo good ... but I think too much make up is making Prachi look not good.. she looked horrable in that Hawa Hawai outfit.
