Hrithik Roshan teams up with KGF makers for a pan-India project, fans speculate KGF or Salaar link

Hrithik Roshan has officially joined hands with Hombale Films, the production house behind major South Indian hits like KGF, Kantara, and Salaar. The announcement, made on May 28 through Hombale Films’ Instagram page, triggered widespread excitement across social media. While the makers have not revealed any specific details about the film’s title or plot, their post hinted at an ambitious and large-scale venture.

In the statement shared by Hombale Films, the caption read, “We are proud to welcome @hrithikroshan to the @hombalefilms family for a collaboration, years in the making. A tale of grit, grandeur and glory is set to unfold, where intensity meets imagination, the Big Bang begins.”

Reacting to the post, fans started speculating on whether Hrithik will feature in KGF 3 or perhaps be part of Salaar 2. One user commented, “Just imagine Hrithik vs Rocky Bhai in KGF 3.” Another wrote, “What if Prabhas×Hrithik Happens?” These speculations are fueled by the studio’s previous collaborations with Prabhas and Yash in massive pan-India projects.

In his official response, Hrithik said, “Hombale has been home to some very unique stories over the years. I'm looking forward to partner with them and deliver a cinematic experience for our audience. We are dreaming big, and committed to bringing the vision to life.” His words indicate that the collaboration may result in an expansive and creative project.

Several fans also appreciated the potential of blending North and South Indian cinema through such alliances. One comment read, “This is how we unlock the true potential of Indian cinema—dropping the north and south labels and creating art.”

While no director or genre has been confirmed, online discussions suggest that filmmaker Prashanth Neel, known for helming KGF and Salaar, could be involved. Though there is no official confirmation, one fan speculated, “Just imagining if this were a Prashanth Neel project!”

On the work front, Hrithik is currently preparing for War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji and co-starring Jr NTR and Kiara Advani, set for release on August 14, 2025. He also has Krrish 4 in development, which will reportedly mark his directorial debut.
