War 2: Hrithik Roshan Takes a Break After Leg Injury, Ayan Mukerji Shoots Patch Scenes with Body Double

Ayan Mukerji’s much-anticipated action film War 2 has already created waves in the entertainment industry. The movie, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, is one of the most awaited releases of 2025. However, the journey to its completion has faced a slight setback. Last month, Hrithik Roshan injured his leg while rehearsing for a dance sequence with Jr NTR, leading to a delay in the shoot for the song. Despite this, the team has been working tirelessly, and Ayan Mukerji recently filmed a brief patch sequence near Mazgaon Docks in Mumbai with body doubles and junior artistes.

According to sources quoted by Mid-Day, Hrithik’s recovery process is underway, with him undergoing physiotherapy and movement training. The actor is expected to rejoin the sets towards the end of April once he gets the green light from his medical team. In the meantime, director Ayan Mukerji is restructuring the remaining schedule to accommodate Hrithik’s recovery. Since March, Ayan and his team have used this downtime to focus on post-production work for the completed portions and refine the upcoming sequences.

An insider also revealed that the film’s makers are confident that War 2 will be completed by May. However, Hrithik’s dance sequences will only resume once he is fully fit and ready. The team is taking all necessary precautions to ensure that Hrithik’s health comes first before jumping back into action.

At a recent event in Atlanta, Hrithik shared an update on the film, revealing that War 2 is nearly complete, with only one final song left to shoot, which features Jr NTR. Reflecting on the journey, Hrithik admitted, “Bohot dar raha tha main ki part 2 kaisi hogi (I was very afraid about how the sequel would turn out). But I have to say I am extremely proud of this film. Ek gaana bacha hai bas, the film is shot. And that song is with Jr NTR, which I’m going back now to film. I hope I do well. I’m nervous—and he’s amazing. But this film will be bigger and better than part 1. So wish me luck."

With the release date set for August 14, 2025, War 2 is all set to take the audience by storm. Fans are eagerly awaiting the next chapter in this high-octane franchise, which promises even more thrilling action and drama.
