After months away from social media, comedian Samay Raina has returned to Instagram, marking the beginning of what appears to be a broader comeback. The stand-up comic, who had kept a low profile following a legal case involving his YouTube show India’s Got Latent, resurfaced on May 14 with a new post and a burst of Stories featuring personal moments.
Raina’s return post came after a long gap—his previous activity on the platform dates back to early February. The timing of his digital re-entry aligns with the announcement of his upcoming international tour, which includes stops across Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. The tour is scheduled to begin on June 5.
The 27-year-old’s Instagram Stories showed a mix of casual hangouts and reunions. One frame captured him having a meal with Gursimran Khamba, another showed a gym session, while one Story featured a video call with his parents. He also met with comedian Tanmay Bhat, in what seemed to be a a hard sweated-out pickleball match.

Among the people Raina was seen with was Apoorva Mukhija, known online as The Rebel Kid. The two were previously linked in the same legal complaint related to the controversial episode of India’s Got Latent. A photograph showed the pair raising glasses in what looked like a quiet gathering.

Following the Stories, Raina acknowledged his return with a candid note:
“Aaj kuch zyaada hi storyiaan daaldi,” he wrote.
He continued with a more heartfelt admission:
“Bohot ghutan si thi yaar kya bataau kaafi nikaal diya ek saath hi.”
In a follow-up slide, he expressed appreciation for the support he received during the hiatus.
“I love you all. I'm so happy to be experiencing all this love. I can't wait to see you guys in my shows abroad and in India. I'm so grateful to all of you,” he added.
As Raina prepares for his stage return, his digital reappearance suggests he is ready to re-engage both with his audience and his craft, one post at a time.
