In a sharp post on Instagram, Asfi didn’t mince her words while standing up for her sister, who’s currently facing a wave of online hate. “Today is a day Uorfi has gone through huge trolling, hate and abuses on the internet, this is nothing new for her but today it has hit differently,” Asfi wrote. She reminded everyone that behind the viral headlines and controversy, Uorfi is someone who has hustled through adversity. “She has lived on the streets, worked tirelessly to earn her living and support her family,” she said, adding that those who’ve known Uorfi personally will vouch for her sincerity and strength.

The note was as much a defense as it was a takedown — not just of trolls, but also of Apoorva Mukhija, whom Asfi implied is using the controversy to gain more visibility. “It’s deeply disheartening to see how easily narratives can be twisted. That’s not the whole story - and it never will be,” she pointed out.

Addressing the viral claims and back-and-forth between Uorfi and Apoorva, Asfi also spoke about the fine line between reacting and instigating. “Uorfi stood for herself against disrespect, what she said was a reaction to an action, yes the words weren’t right but deliberately breaking someone’s morale and bullying on internet for clout or convenience isn’t cool,” she stated.

Asfi called out the way reality TV moments are being stretched beyond the screen to fuel personal PR campaigns. “But reality shows ke situations ko kitna milk karna hain for fame and PR and to what extent can be a choice one can make. We are so not supporting online bullying and harassment,” she wrote, clearly unimpressed with how the narrative is being shaped.
