Social media star and YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani recently took to Instagram to share a gym picture, hinting at his fitness journey amid ongoing controversy. The influencer has been in the headlines for his drastic weight-loss transformation and his connection to the India’s Got Latent (IGL) row.
On March 21, Ashish posted a gym selfie where he appeared cheerful and fit, likely a throwback to highlight his transformation. In the caption, he candidly admitted, "Kaafi stress eating ho gayi bhai. Batao ab kab aaye wapis?" His words suggested he had been indulging in emotional eating due to recent events. In response to a comment, he sarcastically wrote, "Sab Keh Rahe IPL Ke Baad Aao Theek Hai," joking about his much-awaited return.

The episode sparked backlash due to inappropriate remarks made by podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia. The situation escalated, leading to the removal of the episode from YouTube. Amid this, Ashish and others faced criticism, and he even had to respond to inquiries by the National Commission for Women (NCW).
Adding to the controversy, comedian Samay Raina, the host of India’s Got Latent, announced the rescheduling of his India tour. On March 20, he shared an Instagram story, stating, "Hello guys, I am rescheduling my India tour. You all will get the refunds shortly, see you soon." Samay, currently in Canada for a comedy tour, had planned performances in several Indian cities later this month, but the backlash seemingly forced him to postpone.
Meanwhile, Ashish Chanchlani has taken legal action to challenge an FIR filed against him in Guwahati. In February 2025, he moved the Supreme Court, requesting either dismissal of the case or its transfer to Mumbai. Despite the turmoil, his fans continue to support him, praising his remarkable transformation and dedication to fitness.
