From Neetu Kapoor to Maheep Kapoor: Times when Bollywood wives JUSTIFIED their CHEATING HUSBANDS

Neetu Kapoor:

From revealing how husband Rishi Kapoor would sometimes get 'violent' after a few drinks to opening up on his 'one night stands,' Neetu Kapoor had made some shocking revelations during a media interaction. ''I have caught him flirting hundreds of times. I always seem to be the first to hear about his affairs on outdoor locations. But I know they are just one night stands. Two years ago, I used to fight with him about it but now I have adopted the attitude-go ahead, let’s see how long will you do it. We have become very confident about each other. I know his family comes first so why should I bother about his flings. They are just passing fancies. He is too dependent on me, he will never leave me. I feel that men should be given a certain amount of freedom. They are flirtatious by nature. One cannot bind them down." The actress later stated in the same interview that if Rishi Kapoor were to ever get married to someone else, she would have 'thrown him out of the house' and would ask him to live with her. Rishi Kapoor passed away on the 30th April, 2020.

Maheep Kapoor:

In the second season of Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives, Maheep Kapoor had opened up on Sanjay Kapoor cheating on her and had revealed that she chose to 'look beyond it. ''Initially in my marriage, there was an indiscretion that Sanjay had or whatever. I walked out with Shanaya. I stood up for myself but then, I had a newborn baby. Again, as a woman and as a mother, the priority is my child. I owed my daughter this amazing father, which he is. I owed it to myself. And if I look back and if I broke this shit up, I would have regretted it all my life. Because when my kids walk into my home, and my husband walks into my home, this is their sanctuary. They need to feel peace,'' Maheep said. After the release of the show, the actress received a lot of 'flak' for the same. Speaking to Zoom about the same, the actress then said, ''I feel people just don't want to step out of the box and look at that person and try to stand in his shoes and understand. Give everybody a break, everyone is not perfect, everyone is going to f*** up. It's fine.''

Zarina Wahab:

Zarina Wahab, who got married to actor Aditya Pancholi in just 15 days of falling in love with him, had accepted the fact that 'he will go out and have a few affairs because he is very good looking and younger to her.' The actress, speaking about the same to Lehren TV said, ''Maine kabhi aaj tak, Nirmal se puch lena, ek sawal maine kabhi nahi kiya. Mujhe sirf itna hai ke jab wo ghar mein aate hai toh how is he to me. That's more important. Agar pata bhi hota toh bhi I would never ask, agar maine puch liya toh woh darr nikal jayega, toh kyun puchu main. I was mentally prepared, because wo mera decision hai toh I have to.''

Sunita Ahuja:

Sunita Ahuja, in one of her recent interactions had given a strict 'warning' to women and had stated that they should never believe that their partner is innocent. ''I would like to fold my hands and tell women that don’t ever say that your partner is innocent (doesn’t cheat). If he does it, it will become so bad, and no matter how hard you try to get rid of her, she won’t leave him for years. Even if you leave him, that woman won’t,'' Sunita told Hauterfly.

Saira Banu

Not Saira Banu, but Dilip Kumar himself admitted on cheating wife Saira Banu, after he got married to a woman, 16 years after his marriage with Saira Banu. In his autobiography, 'The Substance and the Shadow,' Kumar, had called cheating on his wife Saira a huge mistake. He wrote, ''Well, the one episode in my life that I would like to forget and which we, Saira, and I, have pushed into eternal oblivion is a grave mistake I made under pressure of getting involved with a lady named Asma Rehman whom I had met at a cricket match in Hyderabad.''

In an interview earlier, Saira Banu had mentioned getting married to Dilip Kumar as her dream and stated that while many women wanted to marry him, he chose her. ''For me, it was always Saab, no one else. I was his fan from the time I can remember. While still a teenager, I wanted to be his wife. I'm very headstrong and once I made up my mind, there was no stopping me. I knew many beautiful women wanted to marry Saab, but he chose me. It was my dream come true and that’s what my marriage has been - a perfect dream,'' the actress said.
